Needed an entry for the ARAF weekly competition. The brief: anything French or red, white and blue.

Tried several things and ended up with some tomatoes on a T-shirt in 'matelot stripes.' Very French of course! Just goes to show how desperate I was!

Wasn't too keen on the result, so I put everything in the 'blender' and blended till I got something I thought was quite different from the original. Sort of a tomato soup, I suppose. And as I'm running out of time, I'm going to stick with it.

Experimenting this week and I learnt something new - the oxygen in the petals of the flowers creates the bubbles in the ice.

It is cold, wet and windy, but spring is somewhere out there ...

With this creation, I want to remind everyone, there is still light in the murk!

The ORIGINAL spring shot, has been edited to the edge of its recognisability, to create this spring quartet.

The sunset glow was so beautiful that I haven't wanted to change even a pixel from the shot I took, but I did this manipulation for contrast from the original.

Toddler swings are swings with a bucket shape with holes for the child's legs, or a half-bucket shape and a safety belt, that is intended to reduce the likelihood of a very young child from falling out.

So sorry, I shouldn't have trimmed my dog but his fur was so long. I really should have waited for his groomer to do him but she's in lockdown.

I kept thinking I had to trim him like a sheep dog!

I may have got it wrong!

My Mr Percival had a bit of touch up here. Played with textures, B&W conversion and when printed up on rough paper this looks absolutely unreal. I love his elegant pose.

The silhouettes I captured one very early bright morning on The Esplanade in Cairns. My eyes are still hurting.

This piece was created for a creative motion competition

For the weekly ARAF competition, I need a sunny summer photo in monochrome. Preferably one that looks as if it has been taken in the past. Like the ones people often keep in old shoe boxes in the attic.

So I had a go at this shot, which was, originally well focused and in full colour.

Part of a photograph I took yesterday at Lakeside Country Park. Wasn't happy with the overall picture, so I kept the bit I more or less, liked, and played around with it, till I did like it.

(Nothing to do with photography really!)

This moth was sitting on my flyscreen one morning. Of course I had to photograph it and do some creative editing. A few of my photographs from some old art works of mine.

17 elements used for this compilation with added crackle/cracked earth brush strokes and reduction in saturation.

For one of my small competitions, I was looking for 'repetition.'
