#52 on Explore. Thanks!
This is the thirty-ninth entry for my 52 weeks project here on Flickr.
The credit for this idea goes entirely to the incredible Christophe Huet. If you don't know him yet, be sure to check out his awesome work. He's a creative mastermind and my personal hero.
Since I ran a little dry on creativity lately I decided to do what always helps me to get my creative juices flowing: looking at other people's work. When I stumbled upon Christophe's amazing work, it immediately blew me away and I decided to take on the task to imitate some of his work. I know it's far from perfect and not of the quality of the original one, but I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome. The final composition consists of four different images. See an anatomy of this shot over at my blog.

One Nissin Di866 at 1/2 power zoomed to 70 mm shot through a Westcott umbrella from front left. One LumoPro LP120 with a reddish FX filter at 1/16 power zoomed to 24 mm shot directly at the background behind the table (barely visible). All flashes were fired by Cactus V4 radio triggers. This is the twenty-eighth entry for my 52 weeks project here on Flickr. It's probably the latest upload I've done for any week so far, but I didn't want to pass the opportunity to use the fabulous rain set of a friend of mine to shoot this week's picture.
Although there are some undeniably artificial elements, that were added in post processing, the rain is not. I was soaked to the skin! And it's the very first time I couldn't pull the trigger of my remote by myself because... well... even a Cactus V5 is not waterproof. So I set up the shot dry and handed the remote to my friend Ron. He turned on the water, waited until my clothes were nicely wet and began to shoot. Thanks a bunch, Ron! Without your help I wouldn't have been able to achieve this shot.
Camera info: ISO 100, 50 mm, f/7,1, 1/200 Sek.
Strobist info: One LumoPro LP120 zoomed to 80 mm at 1/2 power from back left and right for rim. One Yongnuo YN560 zoomed to 50 mm at 1/2 power shot into a Westcott collapsible umbrella from high front. All flashes were fired by Cactus V4 radio triggers. The camera was triggered by a Cactus V5.

I swear the bottles were all empty PRIOR to this shot! Although I wish it was all method acting...*g*
It's gotten really late editing this, so this is pretty much just "upload and run" today. I spent an hour shooting the single images and another solid 3 for the composing. Not much Photoshop magic except some ENDLESS extracting and creating artificial shadows. Enjoy!
This time I uploaded a little bit larger version. So press "L" to see the devolution of man in all it's glory...
Camera info: ISO 200, 25 mm, f/8,0, 1/200 Sek.
Strobist info: One Yongnuo YN560 at 1/2 power zoomed to 35 mm shot into a Westcott reflective umbrella from 90° high right. One Nissin Di866 at 1/2 power zoomed to 35 mm shot into a Westcott reflective umbrella from 90° low right (makes two umbrellas, one on top of the other). One flagged LumoPro LP120 at 1/4 power zoomed to 24 mm from back left for some rimlight. All flashes were fired by Cactus V4 radio triggers. Camera was fired by a Cactus V5.

Created this from one of my paintings. Then obviously added various textures, ink and simplify technique on some of the flowers.
Started playing with the Wombo Dream app and quickly got addicted. When I finalize an image in their app, I share it to my KVAD Photo Studio app to add frames and text, and I made this one for my Flickr friends.
....The original image of the sunset through the trees was from this evening. The raccoon was from a previous photo I took. I was bored and played around with it. haha

A calm yet powerful moment.
This manatee, almost sculpted by light, glides through lettuce like a silent guardian of underwater worlds.
Captured in a natural light setting, this shot plays on contrast, texture, and atmosphere.
I tried to let the softness speak louder than the scene itself.
This is the thirty-fourth entry for my 52 weeks project here on Flickr.

Batgirl is the name of several fictional characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, depicted as female counterparts to the superhero Batman. Although the character Betty Kane was introduced into publication in 1961 by Bill Finger and Sheldon Moldoff as Bat-Girl, she is replaced by Barbara Gordon in 1967, who later came to be identified as the first Batgirl.

Spent some time playing around with THIS photograph for HSS.
Layers, textures (one from Skeletal Mess, the rest my own), filters and loads of things I can't remember.
This picture can also be found in the following sets:
I'll place it in the HSS group tomorrow.
I bought a scale model Cutter ship on an online auction. I told my wife I had a Photoshop idea for it. First setting up the ship in our driveway with the setting sun going through its sails. The photo editing took way more time than I thought it would take. I still have a port side composition to do at another time and another image place from Lake Michigan.
Cutter Ship (model) added in.
Photo of sunset on Lake Michigan in Leelanau County with South Manitou Island in the left background.
Trumpeter Swans added in. I have no photos of Seagulls in flight. Huh!.. Imagine that. lol

Canon PowerShot SX20 IS camera

This is the twenty-ninth entry for my 52 weeks project here on Flickr.
The spontaneous idea for this picture is one of many good things that come out when you open an ice cold bottle of beer. So I grabbed some silverware and a few tools (not to forget the beer of course) and I rushed down to my cave (aka my small photo studio in our basement). The setup is really quite simple. Just taped the silverware/tools to my fingers. Needless to say it looked like a (very) cheap version of Freddy Krueger. Or Edward Scissorhands. Or Silverwarehands, that is. Have you noticed how I cleverly avoided product placement? That was pure coincidence. The greatest task was to get the shot done before the beer gets too warm to drink. *g* If you are interested I'll post another "anatomy" entry on my blog in the next view days. Enjoy! :-)

The fiftieth entry for my 52 weeks project here on Flickr. Whoa, only two images left!
As I told you before the last images of this project have already been planned out in my head. Also I promised to put a little bit more effort in creating the finalists. So this one took me about one hour of shooting and about 3 hours of editing. Mostly extracting and shadow casting. As close to perfection as I could get in the available amount of time. Hope you enjoy it!
I can't even begin to imagine that this project is almost over. Seems like yesterday when I took the very first one...
Please press "L" to see the whole besiegement.

One Yongnuo YN560 zoomed to 105 mm at 1/2 power shot through a Westcott collapsible umbrella from high front. All flashes were fired by Cactus V4 radio triggers.
