McRae, GA (Telfair County)
The Gene Theater was opened by May 1951. It was named after Eugene Talmadge, former governor of Georgia in the 1930’s and 1940’s. It was closed in the late-1970’s. (1)

I chose this location after driving through Inverness several years ago with no time to stop. I was taken by the beauty of their historical courthouse. Courthouses of this style are commonplace in many Central Florida small towns, however, Inverness/Citrus County has managed to beautifully preserve theirs, and make it a centerpiece of their lovely city.
Citrus County as a whole is a beautiful place to travel through, with rolling hills, generally clean small towns, and much lesser degree of general "Redneckery" than many surrounding counties.
The winds were blowing, the clouds were rolling. What a perfect night on top of the hill. It was one of those moments.
The Buckingham County Courthouse is located in the county seat of Buckingham, Virginia. Built in 1873, it replaced an earlier courthouse that had been destroyed by fire four years before. The previous courthouse, built between 1822 and 1824, was designed by Thomas Jefferson. The current structure is a Virginia Historic Landmark and part of an historic district that was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. An abandoned pickup truck is parked in front of a number of abandoned houses in Mina, Nevada. Shot on 120 Ilford ASA 400 film with a Bronica ETRSI and a 75mm lens at f/11.
When I arrived it was 35 degrees and a strong wind, no clouds and the belt of venus was just a moment of color in the distant sky. The wind had whipped the lake in to a frenzy and foam lined the shore in this one area.
Needless to say the conditions weren't optimum and we didn't stay out too much past the "in between" -- my description for the time between day and night. It's still fun to come down to Mono with someone who has never been here before.
I wouldn't call this one of my best shots from here I just wanted to post it to show you the foam. Cheers.

Brass Fire Performing at the Powder River Music Review Concert Series in Baker City
Baker County is home to a large and eclectic group of musicians and a growing music scene including the Powder River Music Review which was named Oregon’s Best Music Festival by the Oregon Festivals and Events Association in 2015. The Powder River Music Review is a weekly outdoor summer concert series in Geiser Pollman Park along the banks of the Powder River.
There are several other musical festivals and events throughout the County including the Eagle Creek Music Festival, Pine Fest, and Main Street Stage concert series in Halfway, and the Eastern Oregon TributeFest each August in Baker City.
