Buckingham County (VA) Courthouse

The Buckingham County Courthouse is located in the county seat of Buckingham, Virginia. Built in 1873, it replaced an earlier courthouse that had been destroyed by fire four years before. The previous courthouse, built between 1822 and 1824, was designed by Thomas Jefferson. The current structure is a Virginia Historic Landmark and part of an historic district that was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969.
