This image was created from multiple exposures blended together in Photoshop CS6 layers using the "Lighten" blend mode. All exposures were taken with a single Paul C. Buff Einstein strobe with a 22" beauty dish attached to a Elinchrom boom arm and a 3-stop B&W ND filter attached to my lens. If you send me a FlickrMail message, I'll be more than happy to send you some information on mostly how I photograph this style and what equipment I use, along with some YouTube video links that help explain this process.

I expect this would be called a weed. But the plant produced lots of wind-ready fruit, and it looked elegant, for a weed.

Thank you for looking. Isn't God a great artist?

This was taken on the same day as the previous post. Heavy rains earlier in the day made for a long lasting colorful sunset and a low fog.

The Second Pinal County Courthouse - built in 1891 and located in 135 Pinal St. The Courthouse is the most important architectural landmark in Florence and the most outstanding surviving example of the American-Victorian Style in Central Arizona. The building was designed by Arizona architect James M. Creighton, who was among the Territory’s first architects. Three notorious women were presented before this court. They were Pearl Heart, Eva Dugan and Winnie Ruth Judd. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places on August 2, 1978.

I wanted to get some more shots of this old cabin but the rain was coming down to hard

Steel plate cutouts commemorating the Santa Fe Trail. This part of the trail was known as The Narrows. When it rained, the only passable section was a narrow ridge that ran for several miles - everything on either side of it turned to mud.

There was not a cloud in the sky when I took this.

Yesterday afternoon (6/19) I noticed frequent visits to my feeders so I decided to get a few photos. I was hoping that a colorful male would show up, as he did earlier in the day, but no luck. I got good photos of this female, Yakima County, Washington.

These happy accidents come along every once in a while. In this case, my thumb slipped from the film advance on the RB67.

This was taken in Drumheller Channels / Columbia National Wildlife Refuge (or maybe the state land next to it?).

I previously shot photos with a Minolta SRT 201 film camera. This photo was taken back in the late 1980’s while driving home from work in Delaware where I worked for 20 years. (I didn’t take it from inside my car. There is no motion.)

This photo was chosen as the cover photo of the group FAV 51-80. Thanks!

Clearwater County. This is wedged in between both Jasper and Banff National Parks by the Saskatchewan River Crossing... This is not actually within a national park however.
