I was sitting in the car waiting on Peter who had called in to see an acquaintance when this cat started walking around the house adjoining the driveway. What do you normally do in this situation? Pick up the camera and take some photos.
I hope everyone is staying safe and obeying the rules. We are self isolating - I haven't been out of the house for almost three weeks except to visit the specialist yesterday.
This patch of country dirt road is close to the Manistee River in Northern Michigan. I was visiting during October 2008 and kept an eye on the color progression of the maple trees. One late afternoon the colors looked perfect and I pulled over to compose the shot. It was good timing because a terrible wind and rain storm ripped the leaves off the trees that very night! Talk about timing!
Find Waldo!
Make no mistake it was 7F. I wasn't out for cross country skiing but was surprised to see others were. I just got out of the car for 5 minutes to take some shots, realized my body temperature was dropping too fast and went back to the car for my coat, hat and gloves. They didn't help,
You may have to zoom in a little bit to find the skier. Taken with my favorite 7artisans fisheye 10mm.
I wanted to end this glorious week with a little sunshine. Have a great week-end all!

Waterfall Country is the name given to an area around the head of the Vale of Neath in South Wales where an unusually large number of publicly accessible waterfalls are located in the southern part of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Collectively the falls are one of the most popular natural attractions in South Wales,
Most occupy locations designated as sites of special scientific interest or as special areas of conservation which aim to protect the biodiversity and geodiversity of these sites. The designations place a duty on the landowners and managers to protect the sites and so various erosion control measures have been put in place in an attempt to counter the worst problems.

I am going to be so embarrassed about this shot soon but for the present let me tell you that it is the first time I have done the texture thing and I am delighted that I managed it at all. Help and advice gratefully accepted.
Little John Rd. leads to a small walking trail; all behind an extensive sheep farm in North Saanich, BC. This was taken the same day we saw the buck.

Not my horses. Just a random photo I took long ago of horses in a pasture down the road from me. Now this same pasture is a huge hemp farm :-(. Nothing against hemp growers, it's just not pretty any more
