A few minutes late, Steamrail's recently re-numbered K153 departs Ballarat wearing the number of scrapped classmate K140 and passes the four stored D3's inside the depot at Steamrail Ballarat East leading A2 986 on train 8190 and the first Ballarat Shuttle to Lal Lal during the Ballarat Steam Weekend. 10/6/23

Julie and I decided to pay a visit to MAC Cosmetics which was great fun. The sales ladies were so helpful, even taking this picture and I ended up spending a small fortune!

Something new at the Palm Beach International Airport. I saw this and I just cracked up. I hope you find it is amusing as I did.
Women are taking on board images of themselves as fat, they are dieting, they are obsessing about their looks, and they care far too much about how others see them. Women, also, are too often dissatisfied with their bodies; always wishing for more, or less or something different.
We grew up with the impossible shape of Barbie, the media bombards us with airbrushed and diet thin models, so it's no wonder that we have disorted views on what is 'normal' or healthy.
Catherine Redfern writes about the assumption that "something is fundamentally wrong with the female body and it's natural to be unhappy with it. It's not just natural teenage insecurity either. In our society, adult female bodies are treated like mistakes that continually need correcting. It's too smelly, it's too hairy, it's the wrong shape, it's the wrong colour. We're seen to be badly designed somehow, needing extra stuff to make them okay. Being unhappy about your body is often presented as one of the essential personality traits of women, if we believe what society tells us. I've heard many times suggested, often humorously, that in the darkest ages of humankind, women were whining to their caveman mates, 'does my bum look big in this loincloth?' Silly yes, but there's also a subtext that says it's something women have always done and will always do. We just instinctively hate our bodies, and, we are brought up to believe, with good reason." Uggghh Anya and I still can't believe we're included in Cosmetic Fair. This was totally unexpected and we want to thank Ekilem Melodie for inviting us, and everyone who has supported Nox recently, as well as through the years, and through the many closing and re-openings of our store. I DON'T WANNA GET ALL PREACHY SORRY but we're just super excited.
ANYWAY, Here's two of our items for cosmetic fair (I'll be uploading two more later). The Glampire set comes with both an eyeshadow and a lip and comes in 10 different colors. The beauty marks are some realistic looking moles, so y'all can stop walking around with black dots on ya face. There's 8 different options for them, and I've made them modify so you can tint them darker to your skin, should you need to.
We hope to see you all there! Keep an eye out for a LM to the event!
