Mid morning on a clear April day I was driving on State Route 44 in Lassen County California when I spotted this coyote cross the road and run into an open meadow in an area I call the Bogard Flats. This area is at nearly 6000 feet in elevation so snow lingers there often until May or even early June and night time temps can still get well below freezing. Therefore, the coyotes stay pretty fluffy pretty late into the season. This animal is obviously very young (you can tell by how close together the ears are), and most likely a solitary male. At this age, they aren’t exactly wily (or Wile-E for that matter) and can frankly be pretty dumb. Indeed, when this one crossed the road he came fairly close to being hit by a big rig going the other way. However, his lack of skittishness that an older animal would have likely had allowed me to grab a shot from my big mobile photo blind, aka Ram 1500 pickup, from the roadside.

San Diego, California - January 28, 2019: Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 landing at San Diego International Airport on final approach over a crowded Interstate 5 freeway.
I have always loved the colors of Southwest Airlines' Boeing 737 airplane. I made this photograph of downtown San Diego's buildings lit up in the late afternoon warm colors of the golden glow of sunset. The two elements combined made for a "soaring" photograph!

The Towers of Torres del Paine National Park in the night from Mirador Torres where I spent one and a half hours walking up alone in the dark from the base camp (Campamento Torres).
On that day, I started hiking the Las Torres trail too late so I reached the camp site (9 km from Hosteria Las Torres) just after sunset.
Anyway, I decided to walk up because the weather there was very unreliable. I had only one night there so I didn't want to miss any chances to capture this beautiful landmark.
I searching the internet for the meaning of Paine that is not Spanish (Torres means tower).Then I find this, 'In the latter half of the first millennium the Tehuelche (Aonikenk) people arrived in Patagonia. They were nomadic hunter-gatherers and as they migrated north through Patagonia they saw the silhouette of a incredible rock formation in the distance and called it Paine, meaning blue in their language (the predominant colour they saw in the distance).'

Walking in the Circeo National Park. The amazing world under the trees… I’m fascinated by mushrooms and their ability to grow wherever there is shade and humidity, their shapes and colors, their tenacity. I don’t know them, I look at them, I admire them and I try to steal an image to take with me.
Ferrara, my home town. On the banks of the main Italian river a water tank emerges from the trees with the background of an incredible sunset.
Kanchanaburi, which is where the Khwae Noi and Khwae Yai Rivers converge into the Mae Klong River, spans the northern banks of the river and is a popular spot for travelers. Its location at the edge of a mountain range keeps it much cooler than the other provinces of central Thailand. The city has two major commercial districts: the downtown area consists of a grid of several streets with office buildings, shop fronts, and a shopping mall; and the riverfront area businesses are mostly further west along River Kwai Road. Once a year a carnival comes to town and is set up in the area next to the bridge. At night there is a small pyrotechnics display that re-enacts the wartime bombing of the bridge.
