A lengthy train of containers hug the shores of Turnagain Arm at MP 99 as the sun sets in the western sky. These containers made a 7 day journey from Seattle to Whittier where they were trans-loaded to an Alaska RR train and shipped north. Most will end their journey in Anchorage, Alaska's largest city, however quite a few will continue to the end of the line in Fairbanks. It is almost 930 in the evening on the day after the 4th of July and there is still a couple hours of sun left. In the back ground is Mt Susitna, locally known as Sleeping Lady.
CBF 375T a Bedford YMT with Plaxton 'Supreme' coachwork was observed in Roedean Road, East Brighton on August 9th. 1993. New to Middleton of Rugeley it later served with BIue link, Dallington before joining the Cooks fleet in November 1986.
Two of the engine houses on the sett of the former Cook's Kitchen mine, power lines running between, on a dark December's afternoon, gulls wheeling.
Aoraki / Mount Cook Mackenzie is situated in the centre of New Zealand's majestic South Island. The region is renowned for its incredibly clear starry nights, brilliant sunny days, remarkable turquoise blue lakes, valleys of emerald green and snow-capped mountains.

Aoraki / Mount Cook, New Zealand's highest mountain at 3,754 metres above sea level, towers over the expansive countryside.

Trying out the 70-300mm L lens I borrowed from my friends, I took a morning walk around the Glentanner Park Centre. A really breathtaking view, surrounded by mountains.

We're up, at least as high as we were going. Higher up was Meeks Mesa, not on the agenda for that day. This was a loop hike though, so it's not like we just turned around and went back down. Still lots of ground to cover.

June 11, 2016: Touring Cooks Mesa
Cindy Cook, age 59, from North Hills, CA, participates in the 2016 SoCal Cup Open Water Festival. Cook, pictured exiting the finish area, competed in the women’s masters championship round, one mile distance. Cook finished 13th overall and 2nd within her age group with a time of 00:31:41.

These cooks prepared one of the best, if not Thee Best meals that I've ever eaten. The meal consisted of fried rice, vegtables, and mutton, but the texture, taste, spices were all just fantastic! This was a small Uyger restaurant at the Urumqi internationsl bazaar.
We visited "Cooks corner" when we were in Maine. At least, that is what we called it when we were younger. My parents used to vacation on Bailey Island when they came to Maine, and my father had been coming here with my grandparents since he was young. The sun was setting, and the boats were resting - there was plenty of lobster at Cooks, so I would assume the owners of these boats had a successful day.

The Thomas Cook building in Gallowtree Gate, Leicester was commissioned by his son, John Mason Cook, and opened in 1894 next to the company’s existing offices. It was both a memorial to Cook himself, who died two years earlier, and a more suitable base for the travel business, which had grown from modest beginnings to employ over 2,000 people worldwide. The architects were the local firm of Goddard, Paget and Goddard, and it was built by Hardington and Elliott of Leicester. It is listed Grade II.

The Turkey is cooked and ready to be eaten. Until I learn how to levitate, I use these forks to lift my turkey out of the pot. They do work pretty good!
SP 4449 leads the Cascade Daylight though several tunnels ease of Cooks, WA. It has taken the train a while to get going this morning, but they have had a clear railroad for their run east through the Columbia River Gorge.
"Saengsun" means "fish" and "cheon" means "fried food". This is a very popluar korean dish for parties or holidays.
