This image is Part II of my Pixel Shift series – the monochrome continuation of the color version (Part I).

As many already know from the first image, Pixel Shift tolerates no motion: not in the frame, not in the environment. I spent hours in -3°C temperatures waiting for one single moment without a passing train or a vibrating bridge.

In that brief silence, 16 perfectly aligned sensor-shifted exposures merged into this 250MP black-and-white interpretation – stripped down to light, structure, rhythm, and the steel heartbeat of Frankfurt Central Station.

Unlike the vivid color edition, this monochrome version presents the station not as a hub of movement, but as a monumental cathedral of machinery – frozen in time.

Continuation of a series on this L-shaped shack started yesterday. This is an angled view of the highway side (east). It appears that there is a join in the left entrance segment. The first part inside the door functioned as a "mud room" and contained a small bench against the west wall.

(Continuation of Story)

After quietly enjoying Rio, our little ship continued north along the coast of Brazil until we reached Salvador, Bahia. It was love at first sight for me. I knew little about the city when we arrived, but immediately, I was curious and went exploring.

This look out on to the Atlantic Ocean reminded me of Cascais Portugal, a city I once called home. Salvador, Bahia is the largest city in the northeast of Brazil it was founded in 1549 by the Portuguese. Unfortunately, it was used as a slave port during its early history. Now that unpleasant beginning has given way to a culture rich in African influence and has created a pulsating musical and food paradise.

This is a continuation of the "Project" I started last year.

This year I will post a Pic a day.

This year will be B/W Year.

So that is 365 B/W Snaps to get through......I nearly have to feel sorry for you.......haha

But I Don't

I'm that kind of Guy........!!!!!!!!!! haha

This will allow me to devote a bit more time to on going projects, but if I see an opportunity to post something new, different, maybe even Interesting I will do so!!!!!!

Then again I might just sit around and drink some Red Wine and to hell with it!!.....hahaha

Title for this year was lifted from the Byrds song, lyrics by Pete Seeger and not at all inspired in any way from the Book of Ecclesiastes.

With the continuation of COVID-19, I have spent a lot of my free time learning more about astrophotography. This image was taken over a series of nights with my Explore Scientific 102 f7 and the use of 3 narrowband filters Ha, OIII, and SII. Overall this image is made up of over 7.5 hours of scope time. This is my first image produced solely by me. Fun but a lot of work!

(Continuation) After a while, the buzzard again landed near the ditch and then I saw what it was hunting for: a frog or a toad! I could just see it jumping between the grass and the blackberries, and the buzzard followed it.

So, this is what I witnessed this morning in the nature reserve "Gemene Weidebeek" near Bruges!

A continuation of the creation happening on the WhiteCore-Sim standalone on my laptop. This mountain is on one regular sized sim. I just recently found out that there's also a variable region setup on this standalone as well, so I may work on that land later. For now, here's the better developed face of the mountain. =~.^=
