The garden was frozen over with the exception of the waterfall that flows continually... waiting for the koi to wake up!!
I watched one of our resident Crows continually trying to catch a duckling from four, that seemed separated from the mother. Unsuccessfully.
The other three were still underwater at this point.
The one in the picture was the first to surface!
Surprise visitor to my garden, a Goldcrest. This small bird was difficult to photograph as it was continually on the move. (1984)
Salt formations are much like sand dunes; they are continually changing.
They form from small bumps, and then wind and waves push and pull, and overtime, they grow. When submerged, they change again.

To me, the sea is a continual miracle; The fishes that swim, the rocks, the motion of the waves, the ships with men in them. What stranger miracles are there? (Walt Whitman) ..

Pour moi, la mer est une merveille perpétuelle ; Les poissons nageurs, les rochers, les vagues, les bateaux avec des gens à bord. Quels miracles étranges y a-t-il ?
Three White-tailed Eagles circled over the Wetlands this morning. One of them was a young bird from last year that was continually chased by the older birds.
In 1416, the Dirksland polder was reclaimed as the first polder in present-day Overflakkee. This makes the village of the same name the oldest village on Overflakkee. Dirksland is a ring polder, a fact clearly visible on maps and aerial photographs. The most important and also the oldest building in Dirksland is the church. The churchyard, with its largely still-extant church moat, enhances the church's monumental character. Voostraat is the main street of the village, where the village notables once lived. The harbors for the supply and discharge of goods were of great importance to the villages on Goeree-Overflakkee. Dirksland used to have a harbor directly on the water, but due to various land reclamations, the harbor had to be continually extended. As a result, Dirksland now boasts a harbor no less than 5.5 kilometers long. A lock, the Sas van Dirksland, was built at the end of the harbor in 1790. In 1970, the harbor was closed as part of the Delta Works. The Dirksland lock has since been completely renovated. When driving past Dirksland on the N215, the Dirksland water tower is particularly striking. It has long been out of use.

The dainty Rufous Fantail is usually seen singly or occasionally in twos, flitting about below the canopy of moist eucalypt forests and rainforests, often in dense, shady undergrowth of gullies. Foraging mostly in the air, Rufous Fantails often perch restlessly on the branches, with their wings continually fidgeted and the tail fanned, regularly making short, jerky flights out from the perch, flitting and fluttering, diving, twisting and looping near the foliage and branches to dislodge, flush or catch insect prey.
Both the poor light of their preferred environment and their hyperactivity make these especially challenging to photograph!
They are migratory, travelling to south-eastern Australia in the spring to breed, and then returning north again in the autumn.
Psalm 71:3
Be to me a rock of refuge and a sheltering stronghold to which I may continually come;
You have given the commandment to save me,
For You are my rock and my fortress.
Yes the sky was beautiful for
a photographer just before the hailstorm, but after some shots we have to walk back to the car about 20 minutes. That was not a pleasure, that can I say..
The windmill complex of Kinderdijk represents the courageous fight of the Dutch against the sea level. For many years, the windmills of Kinderdijk kept the land, which was continually threatened by floods and soil compaction, dry.
The Alblasserwaard – once an untamed and wet peatland – was eventually inhabited by humans, who built windmills in the area to drain the water. Besides Kinderdijk and its 19 iconic windmills, you can also visit the villages of Streefkerk and Oud-Alblas during your cycle trip. Cycle along canals and small rivers, take the ferry and enjoy the impressive views and charming farmhouses.
"Of pleasant images in pleasant words,
Melting like melody into the ear,
And stealing on in one continual flow,
Unruffled and unbroken. It is joy
Ineffable to dwell upon the lines
That register our feelings, and portray,
In colours always fresh and ever new,
Emotions that were sanctified, and loved,
As something far too tender, and too pure,
For forms so frail and fading..."

James’s Flamingo, also called the puna flamingo, is native to the Andes and the Altiplano area. Although they seem plentiful on the shores of Colorada, they are in fact very rare. During the mid-1950s, scientists had all but written them off as extinct, until a pack was found roaming South America. Today their habitat is continually threatened, and they are classified as a endangered species.
A Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (Sphyrapicus varius) searching for food in the rough bark of an old decaying poplar tree in the aspen parkland woods in central Alberta, Canada.
It looks a little ragged as there is a nest cavity nearby where it was continually entering and exiting to feed its young.

Crescent Tree Revisited 🌙 let me tell you a story about this tree
.
.
As most of you know I’m a big fan of shooting moon alignments, especially with trees. I had my eye on this tree for a few years but weather and clouds continually skunked my plans
.
.
This tree only aligned with crescent moonset one day out of the year, so if I missed due to clouds, I had to wait a full year to get another crack at it
.
.
Finally, a year ago, everything aligned and I was ready for it. The shoot turned into one of my most memorable, as a big bull even showed up for a few minutes to add to the uniqueness of the opportunity
.
.
As the moon approached the horizon line I noticed it would fit perfectly under the fractal tree canopy, so I repositioned my framing slightly and was at the ready. Bingo
.
.
One month after I took these shots, California got hit by one of the gnarliest winter wind storms in recent memory and this tree was blown down… gone forever
.
.
I was very lucky to share this unique moment with this legendary oak during the very end of its long life
.
.
Have a great day
The white { Bawn } graniite rocks lie half buried on the pathway leading to Slieve Donard, Mournes, NI. so you have to watch your step. The surface is like this [and worse] all the way up. The path rises continually right up to its summit [ 853m ] which is reached up through the " saddle " in the distance and then turning left [ east ] up along the Mourne Wall. It is fairly unique to have a mountain rise continually from sea level right to its top. As the song say, the "Mountains of Mourne [really do] sweep down to the Sea".
I find the place awe inspiring and this was my first time ever visiting there. Now if only the legs hold out for a few more years I might climb most of them!
I hope you enjoy the photo and have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs n Best wishes to all of you, along this World`s rocky pathways!

Felt lucky to get this shot with the tail actually fanned out - so many times I’ve just missed! The most restless of Australia’s fantails, Grey Fantails are almost continually on the move, constantly changing position when perched, the tail swished back and forth, fluttering about in the canopy of trees or darting out after flying insects. They never seem to keep still !
Ichneumon Wasp (family Ichneumonidae) female
A bit of a chase to get this image, the Wasp was continually moving
A look back through some earlier shots found this wonderful sky. Since buying the Sigma 15mm lens, my interest in skies has just blossomed. i now find myself continually looking up to see what the clouds are doing. It's amazing how often these wild skies develop. Bless the weather, is by John Martyn, and is certainly true.
Part of the sculpture “Wings over Water” is about 70 feet long and is made of steel. aluminum and high tech stamisol fabric. A continually changing light display washes over and around the kinetic sculpture from the fountain below. Created by Joe O’Connell, the sculpture stands in front of the George R. Brown Convention Center, Avenida de las Americas, Houston.
"Time like a petal in the wind
Flows softly by
As old lives are taken
New ones begin
A continual chain
Which lasts throughout eternity
Every life but a minute in time
But each of equal importance."

The highest and most isolated permanent settlement inhabited in Bosnia & Hercegovina at Bjelasnica a height of 1469 m above sea level. It is deemed to be one of the longest continually inhabited villages in all of Europe.
Trip to Seney Wildlife Refuge, Michigan mostly looking for birds. Maybe the shot of the day came from this bumble bee mimic robber fly waiting to ambush lunch. I'm continually surprised how well the 100-400 performs even with a 2x TC.
This homestead was taken at Sweet Springs West Virginia. I never tire of the breathtaking rural scenery the Virginia's continually provide.

The Oyster beds at Whitstable in Kent, A really fast incoming tide meant having to continually move back after each shot.
The path isn't a straight line
it's a spiral

Another shot from last year's Eastbourne airshow, probably will share one more after this to end the series..

The Spotted Sandpiper is quite an interesting bird in behavior and call, when standing around its head is continually bobbing up and down and they teeter constantly

Bees continually shuffle, twist, turn, Disappear behind a flower. Waiting is the thrill of photography, choosing the right moment which is then gone in an instant.
For me, a landscape does not exist in its own right, since its appearance changes at every moment; but the surrounding atmosphere brings it to life - the light and the air which vary continually. For me, it is only the surrounding atmosphere which gives subjects their true value.

Baby Socrates is using her telepathic skill set to ask where her mum and dah are. Her parents had a rare opportunity to attend a wedding of long time friends in another state . Baby Socrates has a genetic spine deformity and is my daughters fifth rescue dog and is with my daughter at all times. Fortunately for baby Socrates she has her doting grandma and two hooman brothers to see to her needs . She is like a dolphin using a series of sounds of high pitched whistles and staring at the object of her desire . She body slams the elderly rescues who can’t compete. Even with her little back legs weak and dragging she is tenacious unless her pain comes. It is really hard to properly control her as she could hurt herself worse. We were about her continually and adore her. Highly intelligent and hilarious and loving she is a joy to be around.

The Salt Lake City metropolitan area has a population of ~1.3 million people and they named our city after the Great Salt Lake. However, most people have never visited the lake and hardly anyone visits it that often.
For now, it's my secret little paradise that continually amazes me with its beauty. This was a chilly morning with a warm sunrise.

Glacier Park's Two Medicine Lake shrinks and almost disappears as I climb up the Scenic Point trail. I was the first hiker on the trail this morning. The bottom of the trail is forest, following along Appistoki creek, and it's pretty waterfalls. After a continual 2400 foot climb I could look both East and West. The winds were horrendous, some of the worst I've experienced when hiking. They shut down this trail occasionally when the winds are unsafe. Best to get an early start, as the winds pick up as the sun moves west. Highly recommended when in the Two Medicine area.
Looking down on Pray Lake to the right near the campground with Two Medicine Lake sitting between Mt. Sinopah and Rising Wolf mountain. Doesn't look like it but Two Medicine Lake is approximately 2 miles long and .33 miles wide.

Due to continual rain, often heavy at times, there were fewer buses and people attending. The clouds in this picture tell you all about the weather that day, and it was raining whilst taking the picture.
