"Never Forget that contentment is the greatest wealth"

I could have stayed here for hours and watched this gorgeous duck stroll around this pond. His contentment made me feel the same way...it was contagious! He was "reflecting" contentment to me: ). I find that it can be the same way when being around people who exuded contentment, makes me want to linger in their presence. As Timothy says, "Godliness with contentment is great gain." The only way I experience this myself, is if I stay tight with God and talk to him about everything. Then, even if my storms don't go away, I stay in the "eye of the storm" at peace. It's a beautiful thing!

Enjoy every moment, it's a choice and they all count! Lovin' all your creative, unique, colorful, ingenious and incredible shots! Keep em' comin! : )

The badger holocaust begins in June in Gloucestershire and Somerset, I never thought I'd have to live through a cull, thanks everyone for doing so much to help try and stop it; don't think there's much hope left now though. How can any sane human being look at a badger cub and think it's acceptable to blow its brains out ? Especially when all the science categorically says it won't work or will even make bTB worse, when did we stop trusting science and what does that mean for society in a wider context ? A return to the dark ages......

When you’re wrapped in the arms of your loved one, you feel a sense of security and comfort like no other. It’s a magical place where all worries melt away and only love remains. It’s a place where you can be yourself, without any judgment or fear. It’s a place where you find solace and peace.

Kevin and I built steps for the cat tower this weekend. Why? The reason is sitting up on top. Yes, that little ol' lady has no concept of age. Miss Raven is turning 17 in April this year, and she is convinced she can still do silly things with her arthritic body like jumping off the cat tower at least twice a day. She used to use the bulky livingroom TV as her way down. She'd leap from the top to the TV and then to the ground. But for our Superbowl Party this year, Kevin bought a flat screen TV. Yep, a flat screen TV. Flat. No safe landing there. So Miss Raven makes this horribly awkward leap from the top all the way to the ground punctuated by a harsh whimper pushed out by the force of the landing. Definitely hard to hear. So Kevin and I bought the L-brackets, wood, and various other parts to put four steps down the side. The only problem is that Miss Raven doesn't trust them as they slant a bit under her weight. She's not willing to stay on them long enough to see what will happen. At least now she is going down on the first two steps lickety split then leaping to the floor. A less than graceful descent, but no awkward noises. Maybe we can figure out a way to provide a stronger brace for the steps. Hmmmmmmm. . .

Oh, when I was encouraging Miss Raven to use the steps, other felines helped. In fact, Gumbo was the first cat to climb up the first couple of steps. Go figure.

BTW, I am really not fond of the AWB setting. Often makes for funky, dull colors.

See the "Hidden Faces" set, link below! I've had fun taking photos for this set. Most of the time, however when I see a "hidden face" I don't have my camera. Have a nice weekend!

As much as I love to wear skirts and dresses I can feel just as feminine in some tight jeans and pretty tops. The jeans also give me a nice girly shape if you get what I mean.

This was quite a challenge to get the project put together as I envisioned it. Fun! I used many of my own photos, but used a few downloaded from the Internet. The background summer panoramic image was from Photo Dean, downloaded from the Creative Commons-licensed Content area.

Content curation is becoming everyday more important as brands notice that taking care of consumers’ limited time is a way to add value to their lives and to build a relationship with them. It’s not anymore just about creating, now it’s about finding, rating and aggregating.

Expect this trend to grow during 2010.
