so...i finally had a look at the new mall in the christchurch cbd. pretty underwhelming really. don't think i'll be heading back in a hurry. it's kinda like josh threw a few lego blocks together and called it retail. every "shop" was packed because they're so small; there were long queues out each of the cafe doors; while "green" might be a goal, non-smoking would go a long way to achieving that; and it's still just a bunch of shops. i didn't like the inner city before and these boxes don't make it any more attractive

WLF3 der Feuerwehr Dortmund in 1:160.
1996 stellte die Feuerwehr Dortmund zwei WLF auf MB SK Fahrgestellen in Dienst. Dies waren zum einen ein MB 1824 F mit Mittellangem Fahrerhaus und zum anderen ein MB 1827 F mit Langem Fahrerhaus. Das WLF auf dem MB 1827 F Fahrgestell wurde zuerst in der Fahrschule eingesetzt und später in den Einsatzdienst übernommen.
Mein WLF entstand aus der Kabine eines Roco MB SK und der Wechsellader Technik von etchIT (www.easy01.de/etchIT-store/pd-1897799187.htm?defaultVaria...{EOL}&categoryId=4 ) auf einem Fahrgestell das ich mir von C&F Modellbau im 3D-Druck anfertigen lassen hab.
Da die Feuerwehr Dortmund bisher ausschließlich über zweiachsige WLF verfügt, die Ätzteile von etchIT aber für dreiachsige Fahrgestelle ausgelegt sind, mussten der Rahmen sowie die Grundplatte für die Abrollbehälter entsprechend gekürzt werden. Weil das Dortmunder WLF an der Rückseite der Kabine über Fenster verfügt und keinen Hochgezogen Lufteinlass hat, wurde die Roco Kabine auch entsprechen bearbeitet. Am Fahrgestell mussten rundum noch Unterfahrschutze angebaut werden und das Modell wurde mit einigen Details verfeinert und entsprechend lackiert. Die Blaulichter stammen aus dem H0 Feuerwehrzubehör, die Außenspiegel sind von FKS-Modellbau, und die Achsen stammen von Wiking.

Hier mit einem AB - T-W-S.
Anstelle von TLF 24/50 bzw. TLF 4000 werden in Dortmund AB - T-W-S (Tank-Wasser-Schaum) eingesetzt. Das Vorbild für meinen Abrollbehälter wurde 1996 in Dienst gestellt.
Mein Abrollbehälter entstand, auf einem Grundrahmen von etchIT, in Eigenarbeit aus Kunststoffprofilen und Resten aus der Bastelkiste. Der IBC Schaummittelbehälter stammt von Modellbahn-Union / DM-Toys, der Tank kommt von einem Modell aus dem Ü-Ei und der Wasserwerfer ist von Athearn. Der Abrollbehälter wurde entsprechend Lackiert und mit Decals versehen. (Die Notrufnummern habe ich mir von DS-Design in 1:160 anfertigen lassen)

Roll-off Truck - MB 1827 F - Fire Department Dortmund in N-Scale.
1996 Fire Department Dortmund purchased two Hooklift roll-off Trucks on MB SK chassis. Here´s one of them.
My roll-off Truck is built on a chassis, that I let made from C&F Modellbau in a 3D print, the hooklift technic from etchIT (www.easy01.de/etchIT-store/pd-1897799187.htm?defaultVaria...{EOL}&categoryId=4 ) and the cabin of a Roco MB SK.
Because at the Fire Department Dortmund are exclusively two-axles roll-off Trucks in service, but the etchIT etched parts are designed for three-axle chassis, the frame as well as the base plate for the roll-off containers had to be shortened accordingly. The Roco cabin was adjusted, according to the Dortmund Prototype. On the chassis Skidplates had to be mounted all around and the model was refined with a few details and painted accordingly. The emergency lights are H0-Scale Fire Truck Accessoires, the Mirrors are from FKS-Modellbau and the Axles from Wiking.

Instead of large tank fire trucks such roll-off Container tank-water-foam are used in Dortmund. The Prototype for my roll-off container was built in 1996.
My roll-off container is scratch built from plastic profiles and some leftovers out of the junk box, on a basic frame from etchIT. The IBC foam tank is from Modellbahn-Union / DM-Toys, the water tank is from a model out of a Ferrero Children Surprise Egg and the water monitor is from Athearn. Finally the roll-off container was painted and equipped with decals.

Container tomato plants with ripe tomatoes. November 21, 2008 now. So far I have picked 177 pounds of tomatoes from my 19 plants. 21 pounds are green tomatoes before the Novermber 18, 2008 freeze of 23 degrees F.
I have three tomato plants on the porch that are facing south. I have a mirrow that reflects the sun back on the tomato plants.
Before I put the tomato plants on the porch one of the plants was starting to get the blight. Now it has spread to the next tomato plant.
I also have some lettuce plants.

January 9, 2009. I now only have one tomato plant on the porch. Two died from the blight. I picked the ripe tomatoes from the two tomato plants.
My tomato plant overcome the blight, and is in bloom now. March 10, 2009.
I have my seedling tomatos growing on the porch in the sun.
These container well wagons were either detached off 3YN2, or the locos of 3YN2 were used to place them, at the far end of the siding at Goobang Junction, Parkes NSW. First spotted when they were being shunted by 3YN2's locos.
