Containerisation is a system of intermodal freight transport using intermodal containers. The containers have standardised dimensions. They can be loaded and unloaded, stacked, transported efficiently over long distances, and transferred from one mode of transport to another without being opened. The handling system is completely mechanised so that all handling is done with cranes and special forklift trucks. All containers are numbered and tracked using computerised systems.

Testing out the M50mii, good for stills maybe not so fast on the shutter for candid family shots. It seemed to miss a lot (shutter lag maybe) at a recent family gathering. I like the ef 24mm better than the 22m ef-m prime, just sayin!
Nate made this awesome container port for the PennLUG layout, and I made the water (with tile-laying help from various PennLUG members).
Often in railfreight photography the locomotive gets a shot while the consist gets forgotten so here are some of the intermodal shipping containers aboard the daily 4M02 17:34 GBRf (GB Railfreight) Felixstowe North- Birmingham Hams Hall intermodal service southbound at Generals Lane overbridge on the Great Eastern Main Line near Boreham in Essex (UK).

The Adonis had just left the port of Norfolk, Virginia earlier this morning heading south. On the date of this writing, June 5, 2022, the ship was off the west coast of the United States in route to the port of Quingdao Cntao, China, having passed through the Panama Canal days earlier. This is a new ship launched in 2022. KN
