And for anyone who has been following the truly gripping saga of my plastic container, this is the last time I saw it on 11/12/12. Perhaps it was carried away by the sea.

I kind of miss it :-)

So what do you think is inside? I don't know, but I like to think it might be skids of iPads for next weeks Canadian release. Or not.

2010/05/22: Baskets, bags, and boxes: containers often go unnoticed. Make a photo focused on the container rather than the contents. #ds188

For many years I wanted to rebuild the container ship in the 7994-1 City Harbour to something a little bit more realistic, it was to be a main feature of my dream Legodtenstein layout., alas that dream is no longer. One of the things that had held me back was how to stow the lifeboats and launch them, I had made a couple of different Davit types for my former LCGS fleet but needed something different for a commercial vessel. I had looked at A Frame Davits and a number of other types but never took up the challenge. I had told a regular customer of mine about the 7994-1 set and he was keen to purchase it, I told him what I wanted to do with the set and he said okay lets go with that, with that as an incentive I then decided to go ahead with the plan.

Some thing to do a weekend.. move a container..

I had to move the container to empty and get ready to fill it again.. so I set my camera up to capture shots every 10sec.. probably could have done at 5secs.. for smoother flow..

I had a devil of time in PS to get the resulting file size down.. I take it that quicktime ".mov" files are not that well optimised.. the file was 400Mb.. and took hours to upload.. and then flickr chopped it down.. lol..

I'll have to learn how to apply some sound track.. some benny hill music comes to mind..

For next time.. lol..

I hope you all had a great fathers day with your dad or with your children... it is a special day..

My son took me shopping... lol,, He is my fashion advisor.. but it was good to get out..
