Der 0,6 Quadratkilometer große Terminal liegt in Steinwerder zwischen dessen Kernhafen und dem Köhlbrand nördlich der ehemaligen Vulkanwerft. Er verfügt über einen 1.205 Meter langen Kai mit vier Liegeplätzen, die Schiffe werden mit zwölf Containerbrücken be- bzw. entladen. Am Terminal können Schiffe der Postpanamax-Klasse abgefertigt werden.[4] Der maximale Tiefgang beträgt 15,1 Meter. Der Containerbahnhof besteht aus fünf jeweils 720 Meter langen Gleisen, an denen auch Ganzzüge abgefertigt werden können. Der CTT dient auch dem Umschlag des kombinierten Verkehrs, so konnten am Hamburger Hafen weitere Kapazitäten geschaffen werden.

A mysterious container has been discovered these days in an abandoned area within the port of Bremen. It is unclear when this box has been placed there. Due to the pink paint coating and the golden door fittings some experts suspect that the legendary stardust of the last unicorn is stored in this container. Also, the steel arc or frame in front of the container is giving some questions. Archaeologists and scientists are warning against a rush opening of the container without taking some security measures. Within short an ethics committee will debate whether the box should be opened or not.

185 248 und 185 292 sind unterwegs mit dem planmäßigen GM 48976 von Linz Stadthafen nach Maasvlakte Oost und wurde im schönsten Abendlicht in Altendorf fotografiert. Das besondere an dem Zug ist der Transport von Container in Eanos, auch wenn an diesem Tag der Zug nur im hinteren Teil belanden war.
