1992 Leyland Constructor 30-25 tipper of RMC Roadstone Ltd, Western Area, based at Wickwar Quarry, Glos. was photographed when four years old in 1996. The Leyland was last licenced in 2002 and was exported according to the DVLA. You never know, I might of inadvertently photographed it without realising on Malta in its new guise, if that's where it went to.

Took the Constructor 8 for test at Cullimores of Stroud on 15/11/2013, and here is a pic of it being loaded with 20 tonne of stone prior to the test.

Similar to the White Constructor of the same time. Sold at auction a few years ago.

There is something of Tatlin in his aura. :)

There are a few of these still parked up and most looked in very nice order but Renaults and other 'modern' Foreign lorries are getting more affordable so most of the older stuff is left out of use.

"...Constructores de Dios, perdedores divinos.

Saludemos al eternalismo,

más palabras y menos significado,

la comunicación desapareciendo.

Cielos europeos, deseos europeos.

Caminos europeos, esperanzas europeas.

Hijos europeos, amor europeo.

Sueños europeos, gritos europeos..."

Pickfords usually specified double-cabs for its heavy haulage tractors but not exclusively so. This Scammell Constructor ballast tractor has the smaller Bedford cab that was also used on the Scammell Scarab; and cycle-style front wings (rather than the larger, box-style) that may have been advantageous on sites with restricted access. Cincinnati chapter of the American Truck Historical Society (ATHS) 2015 show in Fairborn, Ohio at Howard Trucking's facility. Jerry Howard holds an annual truck show at his company's facility. Leaving the parking area, you are confronted by an amazing collection of polished beautiful historic trucks a large portion of which belong to Jerry. If you go to the back lot, there is a collection of discarded rusty or wrecked old trucks and parts. To me, this is the interesting area and is where I found this gem. I'm assuming Jerry acquired it from Pyper Construction and am hoping that he has plans to restore it. This cool rig is from an era where they made trucks from real steel like those great front fenders. Love it.

The T45 cabbed Leyland Constructor eight wheeler was never that popular with operators as an eight-wheeled flat and were quite a rare sight on our roads. I was wondering if this 1986 model; C189 FWL; was an ex.British Leyland/Rover Group vehicle on that Oxford registration. It was apparently last on the road in October 1999, not a bad innings.

Another motor from that great no-nonsense, workmanlike fleet of Male & Son, from Brierley Hill, one of my all-time favourite fleets. This 1983 Constructor 8 bulk tipper lasted till the firm finished in 2002?
