The Communication, Culture and Technology building, or CCT, opened in 2006, is home to the Institute of Communication, Culture, Information and Technology which houses interdisciplinary programs that explore communication, traditional and digital media, and technological innovation.
This building also features our premier lecture theatre, the largest on campus, CC1080, which seats 500 students.
MiST Theatre
The CCT Building is also home to one of two theatres on campus – the Multimedia Studio Theatre, or MiST as it is commonly known, is a modern, flexible space used for multimedia performances, traditional dance, and a venue for visiting artists and performers.
Information & Instructional Technology Services
The I&ITS offers support for your U of T email (ever student gets a @mail.utoronto.ca email address), TCard (your Student ID card), Shuttle Bus tickets/passes, UTORid (a unique U of T ID), campus printing, wireless access, residence internet, and computer labs.
Grizzly Bears of the Canadian Rockies
Grizzly Bears (Ursus arctos) are unmistakable because of the large muscular hump on their shoulders. Grizzly bears are scavengers and omnivores, eating both plants and meat. Plants are the mainstay of their diet though, especially berries and roots.
In winter, food becomes scarce and the bears crawl into their dens to hibernate. Although bears do not truly hibernate, (their body temperature only dips slightly), they do become dormant in winter, usually in snow-dens, where females often have one to four cubs before spring.
Grizzly Bears have one of the lowest known reproductive rates of all North American land mammals. That rate is even lower for Grizzlies living here in the Canadian Rockies. Females have their first cubs at 5-8 years of age and may not become pregnant again for 4–5 years.
Grizzly Bears are particularly sensitive to human influence, and because of this we manage them carefully. We can gain information about the mountain park ecosystem by monitoring the grizzly bear population. Jasper currently supports a population of between 100–120 individuals.

The walk up the hill at Kelso Conservation area was very rewarding when we arrived at this overlook. The rocky plateau at the top provided for a great area to set up and enjoy the scenery. Occasionally we were visited by mountain bikers and hikers but at sunset we pretty much had the place to ourselves.

One of Dayton's Five Rivers Metro Park conservation areas. The 416 acres have a bike hike trail, ponds and some small marshes. Busy place the other morning.
This was a beautiful day last summer, Peter & I decided to go for a little stroll on the Elmley Marshes (Isle of Sheppey), it is an RSPB sanctary & a haven for many different birds, we walked a lot further than we intended, past the bird hides, we came across this little building, have no idea what it was used for but an ideal prop for a photographer..............we weren't far away from civilization but could have been in the middle of nowhere, it was so peaceful.

Un pò di refrigerio per tutti in questa torrida estate!
I went to the Kangaroo Conservation Center in Dawsonville, Georgia today with my friends Laurie and Jessica. We had some bad weather, but it ended up working out with the indoor exhibits. It cleared up at the end of the day so we could walk around. Taken March 15, 2008.
It is still too cold to picnic! We tried today

How is it possible that centuries-old paintings by Rembrandt, Vermeer and Rubens still look so good today? This is partly thanks to conservators, who ensure that paintings are preserved in the best possible way.
The exhibition Facelifts & Make-overs shines a light on what usually remains out of sight, namely the conservation of paintings. What is conservation? Why is it necessary? And what secrets do conservators uncover above and below the layers of paint? Welcome to the hidden world of conservation!
