Located at Children's Hospital on Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15201
Connections is in very good condition. I love his colors.
Children from abusive or neglectful homes, as well as children from loving families who may experience a troubled period, often lack the fundamental skills to succeed in school, their communities and life. They need a safe place to live, a nurturing environment in which to grow and the emotional and physical support that only comes from making the right Connections. This group of Porter-Leath programs is operated by clinical staff 24-hours a day, and focuses on providing residential, foster care, adoption, runaway and homeless services for children from birth to age 18 in a supportive and therapeutic environment.

Winner takes all! Groups participated in a scavenger hunt to win tickets to a Meijer Garden's concert.
I was asked by my friend (and fabulous artist), Lesley Brankin, to collaborate with her in her current work.
She is involving numerous friends in making the piece which will illustrate connections between people.
I had a specific remit and I must admit to finding it difficult to work to another's brief.
This is my contribution which I hope she will find acceptable.
The title is " We are connected to those women who fought to achieve the right to vote"
Mixed media.
This measures 6 inches by 4 inches and involves both hand and machine stitch on to hand made paper
