We were making connections at LHR for a flight to Prague. Miserable flight over here; United cancelled our SFO-LHR flight a few hours before takeoff. They re-booked us on a flight two days later. Nope. We ended up with a longer flight and got into LHR around midnight (12 hours late). We were scheduled for a BA flight to Prague around 6 am but we were able to reschedule to a 10 am flight. Whew. This gave us time to hit the Cathay Pacific lounge in Terminal 3 (where the BA Prague flight left from). What a nice lounge with a good view of 27L activity. I just wish we had more time to spend in that lounge. I took these photos in October 2023.
In life we make many connections, emotional, physical but many connections are now through a 'wire'. Nothing is more simple and meaningful than making connection with nature.

San Diego Zoo, a great place to see animals - and be seen. Debrazza's Guenons (African Forest Monkeys) are know for their variety of facial expressions.
In disenchanted moments we may not like to admit it, but deep down we all want it, and we all need it. And although we value our connection with inanimate objects like our car, clothes, mobile phone, or house, we particularly crave it with other living beings. Have you ever wondered why? I did. “Why can’t I just live alone?” I would often ask myself. “life would be so much simpler!” It was not until I came across Bhakti Yoga wisdom that the answer became clear - our essential nature is as parts of a whole - we are not wholes unto ourselves. Herein lies the connection conundrum. As parts of a whole, we can’t, by definition, feel complete without connection to the whole. Krishna explains our existential situation and sense of cosmic dislocation in this way: “All living beings in this world are My eternal fragmental parts. But having forgotten their relationship with Me, they are struggling for connection with matter, with their minds and senses.” Yoga, although commonly only practiced for physical and mental health, originally means “to connect.” But connect to what? Side benefits aside, the deepest purpose of yoga is to reconnect to our original source, the complete whole of which we are an intimate part. Naturally, only that ultimate connection can give us complete heart satisfaction.

Pete and I have been together for 5 years. Before we started dating we were good friends, having met through Church when we were small children. I remember every Sunday morning I would always worry about what I should wear in case Peter and his family were there, and more often then not, they weren't there.
Even though we grew apart and moved around, he even moved to Malaysia, we would always remember each other. Now I'm glad to say, we are in a wonderful and loving relationship and are planning to marry. Love you honey...
