100 words ~ connection

I couldnt think of a better way to kick off another month than with pieces of prepping dinner for my family. I love our Friday night dinners because it's one of two nights we clear our schedules and sit down to eat together. I love that we talk about our week, what we are thankful for and that everyone here, not just me looks forward to it. As the kids get older and busier they still make sure they are here for Thankful Friday and Pasta Sunday's. As a family we choose start and end the week together. Yep, I love our conversations over dinner as it keep us connected physically and emotionally. Life is SO good!

The transformer in the background connects to the breakers in the foreground, and from there to the busbars.

This bridge connects the interiors of two buildings separated by a canal. Venice, Italy has no roads in its city center which consists of 117 islands connected by over 400 bridges.

GM built 2062 027 rolls into Klostar with the 07.02 from Varazdin to Osijek passing railbus 7221 021 which has just arrived with the 06.43 stopping service from Krizevci. Most of these class 7221 railcars were destroyed during the Balkan war with lines of gutted body shells to be seen at Osijek depot.

Our spiritual connection with food is a huge topic that I intend to explore more fully this year but even this vast topic starts with the daily actions of eating and preparing food. We are adult beings who are able to take responsibility for feeding ourselves and do not need to abdicate that to restaurants or food manufacturers. Taking back our connection to our food starts with making dinner, with an pot of herbs on the windowsill, with an experiment in making jam or pickles or yogurt. I certainly don't claim any special knowledge on what is the most healthful or most ecologically sound diet, I just know it is important to care about what goes into our mouths. That food becomes us, it is our vital, physical, chemical, energetic link with the rest of creation. That shouldn't come out of a box.

What foods or dishes are you most connected with? Have you ever done any food preserving or growing food in a garden? Does what food you serve change as the seasons change or do you continue to take full advantage of our modern food distribution system (or both, like in my house)? What food means winter to you?

I practice kundalini yoga 5-6 times a week, and I really enjoy the connection to physical and emotional well-being that it provides. This particular style of yoga emphasizes calisthenic-style movement and demands a lot of mental stamina to get through the sometimes very extended repetitions. It also focuses on spinal flexibility and core strength, both of which have done wonders for my lower back.

I take classes at my local YMCA - kundalini is common at southern California Ys, and the price is excellent compared to a yoga studio. There are also some good practice sets on video if you don't have a local teacher.

The connections grew tenuous with age. The universe yawned with studied disinterest while easch of us danced towards the exit. There was no music...the last few notes hung in the air...a pretty memory..a poignant miasma of a living world. The generations would continue into the greedy void but there would be no welcoming parade...no moving words to keep the stars shinning. The numbers grew less and less and the light slowly dimmed.

French Connection is a company founded in the United Kingdom in 1972 which sells clothing and accessories(in this case my specs). in 1997 french connection branded there clothes "fcuk". though they insist this is an acronym of FRENCH CONNECTION UNITED KINGDOM its similarity to the word f#ck caused controversy. French connection fully exploited this with a range of T shirts such as "fcuk this" "fcuk fashion" "hot as fcuk" "mile high fcuk" "too busy to fcuk" "lucky fcuk" " fun comes usually kneeling" "fcuk on the beach" etc. there were specific regional messages as " no fcuking worries" in austrialia. in 2001, during introduction of french connection san francisco big banners hung on the front of the newly opened store saying "san franciscos first fcuk".

"I am that tiny particle that connect everything with everything else."

At Wollaston mags head is 2 miles to bozeat well served by centrebus W8 and Cogenhoe and Whiston pc village hopper, wonders why either can’t be extended another 5 miles to olney to connect with red rose 21 to Milton Keynes or Stagecoach east 41 to Bedford/Northampton? Border laws might be the reason behind this one!!

This was a drain that connected with a larger drain about 20 feet below. While trying to climb up, I lost my footing and ended up sliding down into the drain below. Luckily I landed on my feet, saving my camera and gear from being soaked
