Hot off the press as I took this one earlier today during a bit of a Welsh mystery tour with 'Mrs R'.
Optare Metrocity YJ19 HXY wearing 'Traws Cymru' livery stands on the station approach road at Machynlleth awaiting its next duty and presumably the arrival of a train. I didn't look at the legal lettering, but I assume it to be one of Lloyd's, based in the town at the old Crosville garage across the road from here?
Corrected thanks to Chris ... one of Tanat Valley's.
Waiting patiently...
Train Street is a popular tourist attraction in Hanoi, with a train track running through a narrow residential street in the Old Quarter.
Buildings are incredibly close to the tracks, and locals live their daily lives alongside the trains that pass through on a regular schedule.
The railway was built during the French colonial era in 1902 and still connects Hanoi to other parts of Vietnam.
Many cafes along the street offer a great (and very close) view of the train. By the way, the train does NOT slow down as it proceeds through the street - as some tourists have discovered the hard way!
Victor, CO - I believe you are looking inside an old Gold Trommel. What is a Gold Trommel? More details below.
It's not difficult to find old rusted mining equipment and buildings sprawled about in the Victor and Cripple Creek area of Colorado. While photo hunting I saw this intriguing tube that temporarily hypnotized me. What is this giant religious looking cheese grader? Come to find out it's a Gold Trommel.
A Gold Trommel was used to process gold bearing material by separating out the larger rocks and boulders, like a big sifter. All of the fine material will drop through the screens to be processed, the larger gravels and rocks will discharge out of the back. There are other elements like water being used to assist the process but that's the basic idea behind this thing.
It was a beautiful day at cottage. More photos coming... (and yeah it's telephone pole)

In one of the more unusual local bus allocations of the year thus far and likely far exceeding the necessary capacity required of the service, Central Connect ADL Enviro400 LJ59LYA (585) is seen heading along Morbury Avenue in Bishops Stortford whilst working on Route 34 back to the town centre 18/06/25
Although she seems not to be happy, at least her healthy, strong feet are free and can connect to the ground as nature intended.
I am always looking for high places such as an observation deck or the pedestrian bridge. As for the general pedestrian bridge, structure is poor. When a car goes, it shakes well. This connecting corridor seems to be firm. Surely I think that the prospects from here are wonderful.

展望台や歩道橋などの高い場所を僕はいつも探しています。 一般的な歩道橋は構造が貧弱です。それは車が通る際によく揺れます。 この渡り廊下は頑丈そうに見えます。 きっとここからの展望は素敵だと思います。

A trip to London at the weekend for some photography inspiration. Really enjoyed wandering Elephant & Castle, which provided perfect backdrops for street photography - only difficulty was the 4 lanes of traffic between me and the subject but managed to get lucky quite a few times.
many different meaningful conversations were had today, and profound words exchanged, just by people being themselves. connecting is good for this soul.

The 2017 field season was record-breaking for Operation IceBridge, NASA’s aerial survey of the state of polar ice. For the first time in its nine-year history, the mission, which aims to close the gap between two NASA satellite campaigns that study changes in the height of polar ice, carried out seven field campaigns in the Arctic and Antarctic in a single year. In total, the IceBridge scientists and instruments flew over 214,000 miles, the equivalent of orbiting the Earth 8.6 times at the equator.
The mission of Operation IceBridge, NASA’s longest-running airborne mission to monitor polar ice, is to collect data on changing polar land and sea ice and maintain continuity of measurements between ICESat missions. The original ICESat mission launched in 2003 and ended in 2009, and its successor, ICESat-2, is scheduled for launch in the fall of 2018. Operation IceBridge began in 2009 and is currently funded until 2020. The planned overlap with ICESat-2 will help scientists connect with the satellite’s measurements.

The Paris Métro Line 10 Mirabeau Station has to be the most bizarre on the entire network. It is designed so that only inbound trains (heading toward Gare d'Austerlitz) stop there. Outbound trains ascend a grade passing the station, and the line's two stops at Michel-Ange are separate inbound and outbound stations (Michel-Ange-Autueil OB, Michel-Ange-Molitor IB), with line M9 connecting the two. Here's a shot of an outbound M10 train of MF67s passing Mirabeau. March 18, 2017. © 2017 Peter Ehrlich
