... I can't seem to let go of this waterfall ... the pools of water you see in the foreground is where the previously posted reflection was taken
This pair of red-tailed hawks were perched in a tree, then took off together. There was a brief confrontation, then they flew together to another tree and perched there.
Happy Caturday my Flickr Friends 😊😊😍

Instead of confrontation let's work and play together!

Two black bears face off at a prime fishing spot. The bear on the right lost the confrontation, its energy levels still high it then some-what aggressively decided to come and check me out, its the only time I've ever pulled out my bear spray and luckily through talking to the bear and holding my ground I didn't have to use it !!

Roadside Hawk sounds like such a pedestrian name. It’s a common hawk in Costa Rica but quite beautiful in my opinion with its reddish highlights. This Tropical Kingbird, however, didn’t appreciate the beauty and wanted this raptor out of its neighborhood. As usual, the little tough guy got his way and took a brief ride as the hawk was getting out of town. (Roadside Hawk – Buteo magnirostris; Tropical Kingbird - Tyrannus melancholicus) (I changed the identity of the hitchhiker from a Gray-capped Flycatcher thanks to the correction from Larry Waddell, below.) Male Cowbird vs Male Red-bellied Woodpecker.
I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to view, fave or comment on my photo. It is very much appreciated.
Followup to yesterdays start of this confrontation. Both birds flew off shortly after, one pursuing the other - so they made it at least that far!
I had a front row seat last evening for an Owl vs Harrier interaction. While I watched and photographed they had several aerial fly-abouts. They first came into view directly above me and I couldn't get them in my viewfinder looking straight up! Fortunately, they moved off just a bit and I was able to get some shots. I was very lucky to be the right place at the right time. The last light of the day painted them both with a golden glow.

I watched these two Bison bulls in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone as they butted heads. I love seeing their wild eyes. This Spring confrontation did not last long. They will be much more serious in late Summer when the rut begins.
