Actually, the air today is extremely humid. So, my lens filter immediately fogged over when going from air conditioning to outdoors. Stayed that way for quite a few minutes. I took advantage of the situation. :-)

Built in 1917, this beautiful DH9 was one of a pair recovered from an elephant shed in India. In the more than capable hands of Aero Vintage / Retrotech, the first machine was restored for the Imperial War Museum and is on static display in Duxfords 'AirSpace' hangar.
This second machine has now been restored to a stunning and airworthy condition which will hopefully soon see her back in the air. This will be a truly amazing site!
Her first public appearance (static, of course) was at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) at RAF Fairford in July 2017, after which she was moved to Duxford and reassembled. She now sits in Hangar 3, which is also the home of the rest of the Historic Aircraft Collection fleet.
Duxford Airfield, Cambridgeshire, UK.
15th August 2017.
The following information is from the Historic Aircraft Collection website. Although slightly dated it does give some good info on the aircraft:-
The engine chosen for the DH-9 was the new 200 hp Siddeley Puma, ordered straight off the drawing board. The engine was not a successful design, but nevertheless that was all there was, and both the DH-9 and the Puma were ordered in large numbers. In fact the DH-4 was not designed as a bomber, but only after it was in service was it found to be useful in this role. The DH-9 can therefore claim to be one of the first true strategic purpose-built bombers manufactured in Britain, with bomb bays within the fuselage structure.
Despite the aircraft's shortcomings, it became one of the most produced aircraft of the 1st World War with over 2,000 examples being made.
The DH-9 was utilised in a great number of bombing raids over Germany and over the Western Front; it also saw service in an anti-submarine role, in the Middle East and Indian sub-continent. Due to the large numbers available after the war, the type continued on in numerous guises, both in military roles in every corner of the Empire and also in the conversion to airliners and long distant courier aircraft.
Although produced in huge numbers and despite a long career after the war, surprisingly few still exist. There is one in the Musee de L'Air in Paris, and one in the Saxonwold museum in South Africa. There is also a civilianised version in Australia; however, there were none in the British National Collection. Rumours of two or three secreted away in India abounded for years and their discovery and recovery to the UK by Aero Vintage took many years of negotiation and organisation. Aero Vintage Ltd director, Guy Black, was determined to ensure that one at least was preserved in the UK in a national museum, and the other restored to fly.
E-8894, now registered G-CDLI which has the most degraded woodwork, will be restored to fly with an original Puma engine. The other DH9 recovered, D-5649, is being restored to non-flying status with a high standard of conservation and original content, for the Imperial War and will be displayed, unsuspended in the new Airspace hanger, by the time this new building is opened to the public for the first time.E-8894 was one of a batch of 200 DH-9 aircraft ordered on the 23rd March 1918 under contract no. 351/418/C.296 (BR.394) from the Aircraft Manufacturing Co. Ltd., of Hendon. As far as is known, it probably saw no military action before being placed in storage and sent to India under the Imperial Gift Scheme.
An excellent Puma engine has been found, and once restored to fly, this genuine 1st World War aircraft will not only be the only 1st World War bomber flying, but also the only Imperial Gift aircraft flying anywhere in the world. Completion of the flying DH9 is anticipated in 2017. Both aircraft are being restored in the Retrotec workshops in East Sussex
Given that the 25 was needed in a roadworthy condition imminently, a replacement registration plate was quickly sourced - RB need every serviceable single decker they can get at the moment, so having one out of action with such a trivial issue wouldn't be a good situation.
The old P&R livery is not going away as quickly as I want it to. I mean, there's nothing really wrong with the livery itself, but my circa 2018 application of it to the models is... utterly dogshite terrible. For the same livery but decently painted, see ELC Vyking 31, which has been treated to a repaint but kept the old-style P&R livery. Eventually it'll be the base for something else, but like most things with the model fleet, it's an "it'll happen one day. Probably."

See how these 6 simple ways can change your life.
Although some religions have introduced us as sinners and guilty, it doesn't and hasn't changed
our reality. We are love covered by the conditioned mind which has taken command of our whole existence. Nevertheless it has never and will never be able to change our being.
Inside all and every single one of us there is a reality untouched by any mind and thanks to yoga and meditation, it is starting to reveal itself in a way it never had. Below are the six secrets we have found will lead to Living Your Truth and also Loving Your Life in the quickest amount of time.
Key 1: Know Your Truth
Exactly how can we listen to the body's knowledge if we're constantly hurrying, reflecting concerning the past, projecting into the future, as well as mishandling time? Our authentic self realities existing in silence. In order to disclose that self, we should find stillness and also silence for a dedicated time frame every day. During this moment, show on exactly how you were educated "fact." Were you encouraged to reject your personal fact? As an example, did you want to be an artist, instead were informed to obtain a degree in company due to the fact that the job market is a lot better? Were you interested in learning a particular sport, instead a moms and dad pressed you to play a different one at which they stood out? Lots of might have been shown that talking the truth was impolite if it somehow angered one more person, so you established the "Disease to Please" in order to maintain the peace and not hurt feelings. Journal concerning exactly what your reflections expose from youth as well as attach the dots onward to problems you could have today.
Key 2: Speak Your Truth
Once you have systems in position to aid you identify your fact, the following action is to be able to properly honor as well as interact it. Ask on your own: How do I really feel? What do I require? Just what do I want? Express the solutions without have to validate or safeguard. You have to start every interaction with the hope that your demands will certainly be satisfied. Occasionally, our requirements can not be fulfilled nor do we have the need or storage capacity to fulfill another person's, so we must also learn how to with dignity, yet absolutely, say and also get "no." Along with spoken expression, revealing your authentic self through garments, embellishing your individual area, and developing something from absolutely nothing (art, creating, etc.) are all fun as well as liberating ways to mirror your credibility back to you.
Key 3: Lose Your Mafia (FEAR) Mind
Consider exactly how much of your day is worked on autopilot. This is your subconscious mind which is helpful in enabling you to keep in mind ways to reach work and tie your shoes, yet is detrimental in that it creates you to hang onto the same ol' ways of believing and the "this is the means it's consistently been so this is the method it will certainly continue to be" attitude. This is where the initial key is also vital due to the fact that all unfavorable inner voices have a beginning. Allow yourself to peel back the layers to subject when/ where/ by which the fear came from and also why you have actually transformed it right into scripture. If your auto-pilot worry mind runs your life's show, it additionally extorts pleasure from it. Understanding that many anxiety is a sensation not a fact releases you to transform your feedback. Worry belongs to the human condition and insightful, instead you do have control over exactly how much it controls you. To be genuine, you need to want to extend of your comfort zone. Have faith that you will make it through, grow, as well as learn just what it is you are indicated to know when you do exactly what you are called to do. Fear can be your largest instructor or the obstruction to where you intend to go. You determine.
Key 4: You = The Only ONE
"Comparison is the thief of delight."-- Dwight Edwards
When you cannot accept and also celebrate your originality, you adapt as well as pack on your own down, ultimately bring about those high qualities being lost. This "opposite side" of us becomes our shadow self-- the component of ourselves that we reject, dismiss, and think to be unwanted. The building of the shadow self returns to your upbringing as well as what high qualities were kept in esteem. Residing in your fact indicates allowing and embracing all aspects of YOU. Because you are the just you, now and also evermore, attempting to live another's life is just impossible. Concentrate on the high qualities that set you apart, honor your stability in all you do, and also accept your shadow self with kindness. Nobody else has your distinct presents and also abilities.
Key 5: Downloaded Blueprints
A belief is merely a thought you've had sometimes. Any type of area of your life that is not working is more than likely built on a malfunctioning plan (aka belief) designed by others. Disclosing your restricting, acquired ideas is the start of redrawing your plan to actually match the life you wish to develop. Identify you have control to flip the old downloaded and install blueprint from the past into a new, fresh version that matches your reality. (Check out the Daily Living tab on my site for assist with downloaded and install blueprints around love, cash, and health and wellness.).
Key 6: Revealing as well as Building Core Self with Balance.
When encountered with a decision, ask yourself two concerns to find your reality and live from your core self. What is my highest excellent in this moment? Exactly what is the following ideal action for me to take? When you attain this quality, you are in balance as well as can examine where you run out equilibrium. In those locations that are imbalanced, replying these concerns will certainly set you on course to creating concrete modifications to come back to center. Chump changes will certainly include up to big shifts, so ditch the all-or-nothing mentality and also begin today to know your truth and melt in joy.

This is the first time that I have used the Zeiss Batis lens to photograph the various follies in St.Anne’s Park and I must admit that I am very happy with the results mainly because of the detail captured in the images that I have published online. I am so pleased with the 25mm lens that I have decided to purchase the new 18mm Batis if I can raise the cash. I am also considering the new Sony GM lenses but they may prove to be too expensive for me.
St. Annes is known for its follies, of which there are approximately ten, mainly around the Naniken river. The follies include a Herculanean Temple on a mock-ruined bridge abutment along the Naniken river, which served as a tearoom for the family, a Pompeian Water Temple of Isis on the banks of the duckpond, and the Annie Lee Tower and Bridge near the chestnut walk.
Other follies include Saint Anne's Well beside the duckpond, after which the park gets its name, the Hermitage Bridge, Yew Circle and Fountain (behind the formal walled garden beside the house), rustic cave and bridge, three rustic archways and a rock work feature. A "Druidic Circle" of Giant's Causeway basalt was lost at an earlier stage. An unusual folly is the Roman style viewing tower which stands on the hill overlooking the duckpond. This started out as an observation tower on the roof of the original house. Later, the tower was removed during extensive refurbishment of St. Anne's house in about 1873 and placed in its current location. It is modelled on the Tomb of the Julii at Glanum near St. Rémy in France.
Many of the follies are in a neglected condition at present, with graffiti being an ongoing problem. For example, the Roman style viewing tower is graffiti covered and has been closed for many years. In addition it is completely hidden by mature trees and could only be revealed by felling them, which would be detrimental to the environment of the park. An alternative proposal is that the tower be moved instead to the site of the old rockery, near the junction of James Larkin Road and Mount Prospect Avenue.
In 2010, Dublin City Council, with the support of the Heritage Council, commissioned a strategy by conservation architects (Shaffrey and Associates) for the long-term conservation of these follies, and it is planned to implement this on a phased basis. It is now 2016 and I have visited the park at least twice per year since 2010 and I am convinced that the follies are now in a worse condition than they were back in 2010 and I am not at all sure that they can be saved

This shot is a first attempt to capture the essence of New Orleans Square and how it has transported me for decades to a place I've come to grow and love--though I've never actually set foot there.
I've often spoken with friends and colleagues who can't seem to figure out why I extol the virtues of Disneyland as an educated adult. Without getting incredibly political about it, I've found that having grown up in a modest household whose big family trip was to drive to Disneyland once every couple of years, Disneyland exposed me to things which I would have never had an interest nor appreciation in had I not felt the essence of it through a Disneyland recreation. New Orleans Square is the perfect example. To try and argue or explain the historic and cultural significance of New Orleans to a 15-year-old who grew up in the Western US is a pretty futile undertaking. Futile, unless you are Walt Disney who decided he could produce the sights, sounds, flavors, and wrought iron that come together to create the unmistakable feel of the Big Easy. Add a sailing voyage through the times of the Caribbean Pirates and an immersion into the Buccaneer lore that had such an impact on New Orleans and you put together an educational experience, which, while not a substitute for a real education, acts as an invaluable way for kids (or adults) who may never in their lives set foot East of the California state line to whet their appetite and stimulate an awareness that there is a world much larger than the daily routine which might dominate or even define the course of their lives. For this reason I love Disneyland--when it is at it's best, it is making visitors aware that the world is much larger than they often perceive it to be. It is not only entertaining, it is teaching. Whether cultural lessons through gumbo, jambalaya and Jazz in New Orleans Square, historical lessons through Barbershop quartets and the Main Street Cinema on Main Street USA, or about science and technology and why they are relevant to a kid in attractions such as Inner Space or Mission to Mars.
That's why Disneyland is more than a collection of roller coasters and dark rides. At its core, it has a point to make. A point about the world and its diversity (Small World, Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, NO Square), a point about the relevance of knowledge on the human condition (Main Street USA, Tomorrowland), and a point about fostering a childlike humanity and being slow to relinquish the tender affections of youth (Fantasyland). For that reason, I still light up and start rambling on and on when someone tells me they've planned a trip to Disneyland or Disneyworld. I want them to "get it," because I know I definitely do.

Comme l’a écrit Gormley : » My proposition is that we are part of a world constructed from the earth, in which everything is interchangeable. My hope is that the old formula of a ‘subject who looks’ at an object which is ‘looked at’ can be transmuted into us looking at ourselves. The place of my body is offered as yours and the space and actions of your body are reflected in the works, what they are made of and how they are made. Nothing is revealed that is not already there – including you. » (extrait du catalogue de l’exposition Still Moving : Works 1975-1996, à Tokyo, in Antony Gormley, Phaidon, p.152)."
