This image of my brother gives off emotions you don't usually see in a portrait. He seems to be slightly frightened and caught off guard, which seemed to fit with my concentration and isn't a look many portraits possess.

art making is a beautiful thing

This is a photo I took for my Advanced Digital Photo class where we had to take a favorite image and re-invent it by retaking it, or editing it in some new way, or both.

The original can be seen at www.flickr.com/photos/nicholas_dubois/4077971021/in/set-7...

The look of concentration on the driver's face says it all.

Taken at druids at oulton park 9/7/2011.

This is a DMR (Dave Mollynuex Racing)built outfit, built by 14 times TT winner Dave Mollynuex.

in this photo the design principle is unity because how the water is splashing perfectly creating harmony. The concept behind this image was part of my concentration so we had the water being thrown in a way that it will never be thrown over again to be the exact same. we did shoot this multiple times and put in some editing to get the final version. difficulty in this photo was capturing the water splashing around the girl.

I was asked to come along and photograph the first year celebration for the Silent Book, Plymouth (UK) chapter. I don’t really photograph events like this, being more of a landscape photographer but when I do I really enjoy capturing the “moment”. I prefer the subjects to be natural and not notice the camera in front of them. This way I find I get more “interesting” and unstaged / awkward shots of people.

Emma, here was colouring in some image that the organisers had placed on tables, there was a competition at the end of the afternoon for the best image. I really liked the concentration in her face.

After working about 16 hours per day during the entire week, Friday can be a pain. My colleague at Siemens a.g. is trying to debug a nasty J2EE backed AJAX web application, and failing.

We seriously needed rest.

The gas chamber at Dachau was not used for mass extermination as was done at some other camps, but the ovens still saw plenty of activity from prisoners who died of starvation, disease, or other causes.

In this photo of the design principle is rhythm because how the bubbles create a pattern. The concept behind this image is my concentration again using the bubbles to frame the girls face in a way that they will never be exactly place again. Difficulties during this photo we’re getting the bubbles all together and framing the face without flying away or popping. Something interesting about this image is that the bubble show up really And have a rainbow light on them. For editing I did basic editing.

In deep meditation the flow of concentration is continuous like the flow of oil.

representation of scis.

this little girl is taking a test and has complete concentration. this seems to represent scis pretty well, because it shows that our school is concentrated, and does well on academics.

for this photo, i used an aperture of f/4.5 and a shutter speed of 1/30 seconds on manual.

i love how this is in a really shallow depth of field and her test is the point of focus. I also think that this photo has good positioning.

(:

For this concentration, I went back to the bridge and took a succession of 8 second shots and stacked them after, and it actually turned out pretty well, including all the lights onto the same image. However, it was pretty dark and there was little detail in the sky which I'd like to fix, which should be pretty easy now because of daylight savings:)
