Scattered about the dead alien is his ray gun and its rare energy cells. Go easy on these - these are all you get!
My name is Larry and I'm a Sims-oholic (also a Flickr-holic and a Wii-oholic) ... there, I feel so much better now that it's all out in the open :-)

Here's the scuttlebutt ... Ebenezer and Kathleen Goth are hosting a pool party at their palatial mansion ... the crafty matchmakers are throwing the affair so that Andre Deppiesse can meet Paula O'Conner, (woo-hoo, woo-hoo) ... the other guests are former public servants Kenneth Deppiesse and Christopher Long who are friends of Eb and Kathy ... Eb was begat by Balthzar who was begat by Rupert who was begat by Alexander who was of course the son of Mortimer and Bella ... if you're not a Sims-oholic, you don't know what the heck I'm talking about, do you :-)
Well, here we are - it's 8am on Saturday. My 24 hour game marathon started 8am Friday...
This is the score board from the very last game I played before I met my goal of playing through 24 hours.
And if I may say so myself, it was a bloody lovely score and a fantastic game to end my marathon with.
The server on which this game was played is the |abs| Cod4: HC Mixed Server, and as you can see the |abs| clan players were the main participants.
To be honest, when I started playing on their server at about 7am I was dog tired and wanted to get the thing over and get to bed. This wasn't helped by them playing the CoD4 formats that I am least familiar with - Search & Destroy and Sabotage.
By about 7.30am I knew I was on my last game, and imagine my surprise when their server rotation came up with Domination mode and this map - 'Crash'...
This is undoubtedly my favourite game mode and map, and my spirits instantly lifted. The effect - as you can see - was very positive (I had been playing very poorly since about 3am and was TKing all over the place).
This was a superb way to end my mission - and it was a real high. THis - ironically - was one of teh best played, moost challenging and entertain games I had played in teh whole 24 hours!
Many thanks to |abs| clan for superb competitiveness. Of course the small numbers meant this was a very tactical game - not the simple run and gun you usually get with CoD4.

Well, all that remains for me is to say 'goodnight' (though the sun is shining, the seagulls are making a heck of a racket and I hear people going to work).
People ask me why I bother taking so many screen shots of my filght sim action - well lovely pictures like this one are the reason...
I would be happy to print this one out and hang it on my wall! (But I am a bit of a sad Milgeek!)
Heroes of the Pacific, despite it's age, still manages to provide some excellent eye candy at times. Here I take off on a training mission in my TBD Devestator torpedo bomber.

BSP includes several very interesting multi-player modes, including this 'Duel' mode which allows you to take on an opponent with the weapons of your choice. Here I take on the computer - but it could just as easily be a friend over the Internet - in a 4 v 4 battleship duel.

One of the things I really like about Blizzard's Collector's Editions for their games is the nicely done, hardbound art book that gets included. Like the one shown here for Reaper of Souls, the new Diablo III expansion.

Fantasy Art and Portraits showcases the art from fantasy computer games -- because Art Lovers shouldn't have to buy and play games just to enjoy great art. It is our mission to bring the art of computer games to Art Lovers who might otherwise miss it.
And because computer games offer the chance to enter the artist's vision, play around with it, and make your own pictures, this is also a site for Writers looking for cover art and Roleplayers looking for portraits for their characters.
