The Computerspielemuseum Berlin (Computer Games Museum Berlin) was founded in 1997. From 1997 to 2000, it had a permanent exhibition in Berlin. Afterwards, it became an online only museum. In 2011, it reopened its permanent exhibition in Berlin's neighborhood of Friedrichshain. During the first month of its permanent exhibition, it had 12,000 visitors.
Fantasy Art and Portraits showcases the art from fantasy computer games. We feel Art Lovers shouldn't have to buy and play games just to enjoy great art. It is our mission to bring the art of computer games to Art Lovers who might otherwise miss it.
And because computer games offer the chance to enter the artist's vision, play around with it, and make your own pictures, this is also a site for Writers looking for cover art and Roleplayers looking for portraits for their characters.

Wings of Prey (demo): Here I fly my Lavochkin La-7 over the rooftops of Berlin!
I actually went a lot lower than this and had a bit of a 'Star Wars' moment as I actually flew down between the buildings themselves at one point!
Only at near grown level do you start to see the real computer generated nature of this map, from this hight the city scape looks wonderfully authentic though.
Patrick was an Oregon Trail floppy disk for Halloween. He made two shoulder-width disks to scale, one each for the front and back, and placed wet-media acetate and black construction paper behind the openings to represent the film. We recreated the label from a picture of the game "Expeditions" from the same brand.
The specific game resonated with people of a pretty specific age group. One person asked for his autograph and at least one person hugged him.

To make the game a bit more interesting - and to squeeze ever last minute of game play out of Borderlands - I am currently playing through the game with *just* revolvers!
This makes for an interesting challenge!

Well, if there was ever a picture that epitomized my day this is it. Adriana went to Nice with Tati for the weekend, which means time for me to have boy's weekend. Now you would think I would be out enjoying the beautiful spring day (and it was a beautiful day) but not me. I settled down with pizza and computer games, trying to conquer the world one turn at a time.
As a kid I loved playing video games, but as I've gotten older I've not had the time or interest to play much anymore. But once or twice a year I go through a period of digging out the old CD's and firing up my stone age Windows computer. So, happy to say that on Saturday I wasted about 15 hours of my life and successfully conquered the world!
