All that's left to do is to add the RAM backup battery and the battery charging circuit and RAM WRITE Disable circuitry in the empty board space - top left.
On my previous two computer projects this was an all discrete design with transistors to disable the RAM from being written to when the voltage drops off when power is removed from the board.
I will have to test this circuit out on a breadboard thoroughly first before considering building it into this board because the transistors switching characteristics will need to be taken into account given this computer build is twice as fast as the previous one.
I'm getting a Lily Pad wearable open source arduino microcontroller in the mail soon and i can't wait to get going with it!
