Richelieu Pavillon of Le Louvre, as seen from inside the Grand Pyramid, on a wonderful summer day.
Have a look at my most interesting pictures:
Vintage jointed dolls made entirely of composition, 8 inches (20cm) high. Beautifully dressed in their original silky costumes. The girl on the right is missing her left arm. I am not sure how old they are, but I have seen similar dolls offered for sale in their original boxes with a very 1960s/70s look. It would be interesting to know why Chinese makers were still using composition long after plastic and vinyl had come to dominate in commercial doll production. I certainly much prefer composition, even if it is prone to cracking and crazing as seen on these girls' faces.
Compositionally Challenged: Week 16 One place, 3 choices. Point Pelee National Park Visitor Centre Area.
Compositionally Challenged Week 19 - Bokeh
Shot in Auto White Balance but I changed it to Tungsten in post because the color of the background bokeh didn't go well with the blue thread.
Compositionally Challenged week 16 is Impressionism.
There is a triangle where our driveway joins the private road, there to help delivery trucks to turn around. It seemed a likely place to give "in the round" impressionism a try.
I stood back from the central tree, snapped a shot, then moved clockwise around the tree, again and again, taking a total of 7 photos. In Photoscape, I stacked them semi-transparently on a plain background, lining up the tree trunk each time. The result is the view from all sides of this tree.
