This railing is cold

Crappy composition, but snapped a quick shot of Dan leading this classic on his 40th birthday last week.

This is a picture that I wish had turned out better but did not turn out as well as I hoped because I broke composition rules. I feel like there is not a clear focus in this image like there should be. There are also no leading lines so I feel like it is hard to figure out where to look. I still enjoy the color contrast between the green leaves and brown leaves.

Bas-relief en terre cuite émaillée, 1952. Les formes abstraites de cette plaque en céramique sont directement tirées d'une huile sur toile "La plante", peinte en 1945 aux Etats-Unis. Les fragments de machines agricoles abandonnés à la végétation offrent un contraste dans le paysage américain que le peintre a transcrit avec des formes puissantes et des couleurs éclatantes. A partir de ce motif, le céramiste réalise un relief sur lequel il fabrique un moule. Ce moule permet d'obtenir plusieurs biscuits identiques. sur la proposition De Léger, chaque biscuit est émaillé de couleurs différentes. de cette façon, à partir d'un même moule, sont réalisés, en édition, de multiples originaux adaptés à différent décors muraux. Après la mort de Léger, la plaque est éditée à l'identique en 250 exemplaires.
