GRAVITY by Lika Cameo, the May 2022 exhibition @ Nitroglobus
After visiting one of Lika's exhibitions in SL not so long ago I was impressed by her artistic skills, not only her images but also the way she presented her art.
I invited Lika to create an exhibition/installation for Nitroglobus and she accepted.
Super happy with the result: GRAVITY is a truly awesome installation.
The opening party will be on Sunday 1 May, 12 PM SLT (21 hrs Amsterdam time)

About Gravity collection:
'You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.' Dr. Seuss
Love can be scary only because you realize you care about someone as much as you care about yourself. You open your hearth knowing that it could be broken, however being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure, joy and excitement, and make you feel that true bond and energy that is pulling you to belong to the other.
The collection “Gravity” outlines the force between the two, that calling and longing which makes two humans to be so attracted to each other. Through this project I wanted to convey that connection and bond. I called gravity a synonym of love, only because, like gravity, love is pulling two sides.
Each piece showcases different aspects of that bond that love brings.

On Canada Day, 2017, a long red ribbon was cut and Stratford’s newly-renovated Market Square was officially open. That day, thousands of local residents and visitors flooded the Square, making the point that this open space behind our City Hall was meant to provide them with a place to gather, celebrate, play and relax.

Fort Street West (possibly at Swain Street), constructed 1861-3. I believe this might have been the house of Isaac N. Swain (1807-1880), who made his money in lumber in Watervliet, and in flour. He was the president of Woodmere cemetry and is buried in Lot 1184.
The "American Biographical History of Eminent and Self-made Men" p. 136 notes that Swain bought 12 acres of land on the Detroit River after his wife's death in 1858 (and his subsequent remarriage in 1859), and "commenced with its cultivation and adornment". Between 1861 and 63 he constructed "one of the most substantial mansions of the west". It notes his library, and that he has never taken "wine, or malt, or spirituous liquors as a beverage, nor does he use tea, coffee or tobacco". Even in his 70's he was a muscular well built man of 6'-2" who had a long flowing beard, iron grey hair, light clear complexion and a "fine set of natural teeth", "erect as most men of fifty". He is noted as "simple and easy in his manners; prompt, courteous , and agreeable in all business transactions; and delights in relating his varied adventures, especially to the young".

I have seen many portraits in Museums and Galleries around the world but I was mesmerized looking at this one.
The stern face, the piercing eyes, the skin complexion made me keep admiring this beautiful painting.
Unfortunately, I couldn't use my tripod, as you need a special licence for that, this is a handheld shot in low lighting conditions.

I stand in silence, as a soft breeze lifts stray strands of hair along my ghostly complexion, allowing you a moment to think about what I just said, and to realise that this story is more than just a story, it's a live and happening murder, and you're now a part of it. "There's a problem, though." I say to you, biting my bottom lip, smile forming under its tight caress. "I want more."
There were apparently some locals shopping here, but I suspect that this place is mainly for the benefit of tourists. I lost count of the number of times we were accosted with offers of (fake) watches and handbags - 'Just come inside and look, no need to buy' with an intensity bordering on desperation. So many shops apparently selling exactly the same goods - not sure what's really going on. The Spice sellers' tactics were mainly to leap out and thrust something in your face and ask 'Do you know what this is?' Of course, after the 20th time this happened, we were able to answer correctly which made them look crestfallen.
The two bowls at the bottom right are dried oranges and lemons, not sure which is which. The blue balls are indigo (for dying cloth), the brown objects are sweet chestnuts, above them sulphur logs for cleaning the complexion. The orange material is a kind of saffron derived from sunflowers rather than crocii and is a lot cheaper. Plenty of real saffron was also on offer.
There were no prices shown on anything at all, so I guess you'd have to be seriously good at haggling, if indeed there was anything you wanted to buy. We saw several heavily veiled women shopping, being meekly trailed by male porters pushing sack barrows loaded with their purchases, so there is evidently some 'real' shopping done here.

I shot Martin on the streets of Glasgow on a flying visit up there. Even though I shoot lowkey, while, we were shooting, a woman in the small crowd watching us got all excited.
"Oh My God, it's Ray Liotta!" (This shoot was while Ray was still alive)
Even though she was told he was not him, she thought he must be "somebody" as I was shooting him and he was wearing a fancy suit and was doing gangster impressions - and she concluded it must be Ray in Glasgow to make a gangster film.
To be fair in real life, Martin does look a bit like Ray Liotta, with the same kind of complexion and the model said he does get that quite a lot from other people too. Anyway, when the model told her he was not Ray in his broad Glaswegian accent, she admired how good Ray's accent was for his new gangster movie and went away happy.
The moral of the story is, if you ever met Ray Liotta in Glasgow, it was probably this dude. Honest.

For me, personally this is the most perfect love song ever written. Its such a wonderful innocent and gentle thing and there isnt one amongst us, man or woman who would not want to have the kind of love expressed in this song. This place would affect us all that way. Im incurable anyway so If your looking for any sense, move on!!! lol!
Percy French wrote many songs in his lifetime. Mostly music hall stuff and very tongue in cheek and then suddenly he produced this masterpiece. It is thought that the idea came from a series of letters that someone gave him that were written by a young farmer to his girlfriend when he had to leave NI to find work in London after the harvest had failed.
He wrote the song while sitting on a seaside bench {now famous!} in Skerries, Co. Dublin and gazing across Dundrum Bay towards the Mournes in NI. [See attached album.]
Don Mc Cleans version is said to be the best version every recorded. Id agree as it really affected me the first time I heard it and it still can move me to tears. [Link in Album}

The only “Finch" I knew, before this little guy came along, was one Aaron Finch, the Aussie Cricketer!! I have never seen anything else on this earth so restless, never settling in any spot for more than a few seconds. Both of them keep flying up and down, right and left; bundles of energy and I know their diet did not include extra strong Horlicks or Maltova or Boost!! Capturing either of them became a hard assignment!
A few days back Mrs. Finch, snow-white complexioned cutie, laid 3 tiny little eggs. I am so excited!!
A resident in my potted yellow Chrysanthemum, she posed gracefully for me today, chosing a very colourful backdrop which suits her complexion ;) !
I always thought when three mallards flew around at speed over Bushy Park pond that the two drakes were competing for the attentions of the single duck. How wrong can you get! At least as far as these three are concerned.
First they landed at speed in the waterway between the island and the shore where I was sitting on a bench. Then they clambered ashore on the island and disappeared from sight behind the trees. There was a lot of excited quacking and they were clearly having a great time.
Then after a while out they flew out of the bushes and ivy and plopped into the water (above) and swam contentedly away !
Although all three seemed contented to me this article I found on the web may put a ðifferent complexion on matters

Los víreos son una pequeña familia que se restringe exclusivamente al Nuevo Mundo. Son las aves más íntimamente relacionadas con los corvidos( cuervos) y su familia se puede dividir en tres grupos.
a) Los vireos verdaderos( género vireos)
b) Los Víreillos ( género Hylophilus)
c)Los alegrines y follajeros ( género Cyclarhis y Vireolanius)
Los víreos residen sobre todo en las partes septentrionales de Sudamerica, America centra o Mexico. Doce de las 13 especies que se reproducen en estados Unidos emigran hacia el sur durante el otoño. Unicamente los vireos verdaderos están representados en Norteamerica, al tiempo que los otros tres grupos tienen representacion en Latinoamerica.

Eden is looking forward to some serious beautifying action today. Just look at that hair!! Gah!! And her complexion is still uneven. Unfortunately the SJ spa is booked at the moment, but at home efforts will be stepped up a notch or two today. =)
A new day and a trip off the boat on zodiacs. The choice had been made to go on the long trek, others would walk slower shorter routes but would miss the view from the roof of the world. My travelling partner had been having a few health issues so I walked with a German Linda, more about this lovely lady later, a mad German man who became a good friend, he just didn't stop smiling who said Germans are straight and two lovely mature Americans, in total about 20 of us attempted the route. The snow had been deep this season and had not really started to melt so it was not long and we were all up to our nads in deep, cold snow. Now, I walk every day so I am used to distance and living on the North Downs used to hills but add deep snow to the mix and this changes the complexion of things! But was all the effort worth it, god yes, just mind blowing and our first glacier, reindeer, seal, ptarmigan and so much more all on the morning of day 1. 4 e 5 - Instant Perfector e T-Zone Shine Control, ambos da linha Pore Minimizer da Clinique - Dois dos meus xodós, que podem ser usados antes da maquiagem e também sobre a make já feita, em retoques.
O Instant Perfector é como um corretivo pastosinho, de consistência meio seca, que deve ser usado apenas em pequena quantidade nos locais onde os poros são mais visíveis. O efeito é imediato.
O T-ZoneShine Control é um gel transparente que matifica a zona T, controlando a oleosidade. Assim que vc o passa a pele seca e os poros são amenizados. Maravilhoso!
6 - Complexion Primer Potion - Pore Perfecting, da Urban Decay - De consistência fluida e leve (uma loçãozinha branca), esse primer minimiza a aparência dos poros e matifica a pele. Deve ser usado sobre a pele limpa ou sob a base. Não é preciso tirar a tampa para usá-lo, é só puxá-la. Tem um dispositivo que impede a saída de muito produto, evitando o desperdicio. Muuuito bom, adoro!
7 - Fluido Matificante para o Rosto, da Contém 1G - Produto controverso, algumas amam, outras odeiam. Não sei se já saiu de linha. Gosto bastante dele, segura bem a oleosidade da minha pele. Acho honesto.
8 - Loção Facial Matificante, da Mary Kay - Uma loção bem fluida que tira o brilho da pele assim que aplicada. Pode ser usada também por cima da make. Muuuuito boa!
9 e 10 - Eyeshadow Primer Potion e Eyeshadow Primer Potion Eden, da Urban Decay - Primers para sombras. São fantásticos!!! Deixam a sombra intacta e as pálpebras sequinhas por hoooras a fio. Vc chega em casa e a sombra está lá, firme e forte como quando vc a fez.
O roxinho é transparente e o Eden bege, cor da pele, corrigindo pálpebras mais escuras como as minhas.
Detalhe: A embalagem é frágil, não resiste a um mero tombinho. Por isso tive que "transplantar" o Eden para esse potinho de vidro. Todo cuidado é pouco.
11 - Smoothing Primer, da Sephora - Ganhei de brinde em uma das comprinhas que fiz. A textura é semelhente à do Smashbox Oil Free e, levando como garantia o nome da grande loja de cosméticos, é ótimo. Gostei!!!

Hi All, long time no see. I was staffing at a camp this whole week so life has been pretty crazy up until now. Anyway I will get back to the dolly introductions.
Nova is an ice mermaid. Her cold hues and pale complexion bring out the chill in her season of Winter.
Likewise her tail fins and fin ears are in a mating gradient. Her top is embellished with glitter and a shimmery backing to reflect the light like she was ice. Her crown is winded with a mix a purls and dangling gems to show her importance of all the sea creatures she has in her care.
Her element is water and likewise is hardly a fan of land... or things form that world for a mater of fact. Nova is one of the boldest of the sisters and likes to prove why she is always right, even if she can't XD However she dose have a sweet side if you look hard enough. She is like deep sea treasure, all you have to do is open the lock. ^_^

i was so shock when my brother told me that the coronada visited a town near us. he told me that it can't be the callejera that he saw that time coz she is somewhat dark and her hair is different. but when i asked him what template is being used he txt me that is it the dome shaped gold and silver andas. gathering from the infos that he gave i knew that it was not the coronada... but i need to investigate. hehehe
i searched for the whereabouts of the pilgrim. after many visits to diff chapel in that town where my brother saw her i decided to head for the chancery, because i just cant find the callejera.
there at the chancery stood the coronada in her marvelous altar so i am totally correct that the coronada didn't leave her palace.
on my way home while riding a jeepney i heard the hymn of delos remedios being sung. i panicked... hahaha. i asked the driver to drop me off.
she is really there. her hair is made of abaca now. and her complexion is morena. she is still lovely but her face is somewhat a little bit sad yet still enigmatic. i personally love her previous encarna. but there is no doubt that she is still lovely...
