Crazy Tuesday- Complementary Colours
I chose Purple and Yellow for my two colours. This is a Purple Potato Blossom and a member of the Nightshade's Family . Stu planted these last year in the Spring and some of the potatoes were left in the soil over the winter so they came up this year instead of last fall. We call these Volunteers. Nightshade blossoms are pretty distinctive looking. The petals on these flowers also come in white indicating that the potato is a white variety. (Thanks Wes for mentioning Crazy Tuesday)
Pointing out from Beadnell, rocks stretch out into the sea, in waves moving up the coast. On the early morning, the early light of day swathed the land in warmth, bringing it out from the cold sea. The textures of seaweed and rippling water mimic one another, but the colours create a clear division. Overhead, in contrast, the clear sky is occupied solely by a pair of seagulls dancing in the cool air of the morning.
I will be honest when I say this image was not planned out, nor was much time taken over shooting it.
But there is something about how it captures the melancholy dusk feeling, and draws your eye back into the tower shapes in the background mirroring the foreground which I found very interesting, and wanted to share.

Thank you to everyone who visits, faves, and comments.
From the possible subjects and ideas today, I chose this little cricket ball. It is about 1 1/2 inches in diameter and with its silicone base keeps insects off my drink. In the background its alter ego the tennis ball.
posting for Crazy Tuesday: this makes me happy
Flowers of course for me and it encompasses photography!

Macro Mondays theme 5 August 2019 - Complementary Colours
I chose the colours orange and blue - two of my very favourite colours. The orange flower shown here is a Daylily in full bloom, picked from my garden for the occasion. The blue comes from the miniature glass vase that the bloom has been placed in, which has been filled with blue-tinted water (thank you, food colouring!) and the blue dinner plate that the vase has been placed upon.
HMM! 💐
This female Stonechat was perched on a rusty wire fence that was overgrown with weeds but I rather liked the complementary colour scheme.
Many thanks to all who take the time to view, comment or fave my images.
... nor arm, nor face ... By a name I know not how to tell thee who I am (Romeo to Juliet in Shakespeare's play of this name). Contre-jour, natural light, edited in Fujifilm's raw converter and refined in Luminar.
in every way, but 'complementary colours' for the Macro Mondays theme.

Looking Close on Friday: objects in pastel colours
I've always loved the pastel scenes my Flickr friends post. I found this really difficult so if anybody wishes to share a little expertise with me, that would be very welcome!

Wish you all a Happy Macro Monday! My Macro lens is a Canon lens, I do not have a macro lens for my Fujifilm camera. So adapted a very old enlarging lens I purchase in 1976. This Analog era lens when coupled with an extender are the best Macro lenses.
Technical Info: Image taken with a Fujifilm XT-1 and a very old analog era 50mm enlarger lens, ISO: 800, Mode: Aperture Priority, f/5.6, 1/220 sec.
