More orange than blue... Another "strange thing from my kitchen" for Macro Monday. A silicone lid/sieve/drainer/trivet/splatter guard. It's used mainly as a lid for the frying pan to prevent a grease disaster. What you see is the center of the lid, the size of the area is 2,5 cm (0,984252 inches), the tiny holes are 1 mm (0,0393701 inches) in diameter. The blue is the daylight shining through the holes.
Mehr Orange als Blau. Wieder ein "komisches Ding aus meiner Küche" für den Macro Montag, ein Silikon-Deckel, wahlweise auch als Sieb oder Untersetzer zu gebrauchen, meistens dient er aber als Spritzschutz für die Bratpfanne. Im Bild ist die Mitte des Deckels zu sehen, die Fläche ist 2,5 cm groß, die winzigen Löchlein haben einen Durchmesser von 1 mm. Die Blautöne entstanden durch das hindurchscheinende Tageslicht.

Chilli hat eine Verabredung mit den kleinen günen Minivasen.
Auf einem Porzelanteller sind kleinen Minivasen in verschiedenen Grüntönen und in unterschiedlicher Höhe in einem Exembel verbunden.
Davor stehen zwei getrocknete Chillischotten. Die Grüntöne habe ich in Luminar verstärkt, das war es. Ein abstraktes Rendevous!

Chilli has a date with the little green minivases.
On a porcelain plate small minivases in different shades of green and in different heights are connected in an exembel.
In front of them are two dried chilli pods. I strengthened the greens in Luminar, that's it. An abstract rendezvous!

Chilli a rendez-vous avec les petites mini-vases vertes.
Sur une plaque de porcelaine, de petites mini-vases de différentes nuances de vert et de différentes hauteurs sont reliées dans un ex-embel.
Devant eux se trouvent deux gousses de piments séchés. J'ai renforcé les greens à Luminar, c'est tout. Un rendez-vous abstrait!

Another shot taken up in the moors, not far from Osmotherley. This was such a quiet peaceful spot that I spent quite a bit of time there, watching the clouds role by, and the light peek and fade as the sun slowly began to descend.
It's soft and silky vs hard and spiky, but that's not what this is about. The opposites here are on the colour wheel - complementary colours for Macro Mondays. HMM everyone!
The Macro Monday theme today is "Complementary Colours" - I chose to use green/red and photographed this tiny red bud against the green leaves in the garden at Werribee Mansion on Saturday. The bud was about as big as my little finger nail.
This red light bulb was in use in my darkroom for several decades. But since I switched to digital photography, I have not used anymore. I have mixed feelings. The development of negatives / photos was always associated with a lot of leisure, peace and seclusion and was usually carried out in the evenings. Today I am much more flexible, faster and more creative when it comes to editing the pictures. Honestly, I do not want the analog time back.

Diese rote Glühbirne war einige Jahrzehnte in meiner Dunkelkammer im Einsatz. Doch seit ich auf die digitale Fotografie umgestiegen bin, habe ich sich nicht mehr benutzt. Ich habe zwiespältige Gefühle. Das Entwickeln von Negativen/Fotos war immer mit viel Muße, Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit verbunden und wurde meistens in den Abendstunden ausgeführt. Heute bin ich viel flexibler, schneller und kreativer, wenn es um die Bearbeitung der Bilder geht. Ehrlich gesagt, ich wünsche mir nicht die analoge Zeit zurück.
Vielen Dank für eure netten Kommentare und die zahlreichen Sternchen, über die ich mich sehr freue.

So, I was back, and exploring the beaches around Bamburgh and Seahouses once again. Slightly different conditions and constantly changing weather, we went through heavy fog, stormy clouds, unforgiving sun, and a warm calm evening. A good day with photographs to match.

Macro Mondays theme Vibrant Minimalism
I had great fun with this theme. I love minimalism of all sorts and so this theme was right up my street.
These are yellow glass marbles on fluorescent magenta card and taken in direct daylight/sun through glass doors (although the sun kept dipping away producing a softer image of which this is an example). The marbles are just over 1cm in diameter and so this fits well within the groups requirements.
HMM!
