ART STUDENTS – From Wauneta-Palisade High School painted the winning mural Friday at McCook Community College’s paint-in competition at the Event Center on campus. The theme for this year’s competition was “Fantasy City” which was announced at 9 a.m. and teams completed the mural in three hours.
There were 22 schools competing in this year’s event. Second place went to Southern Valley, third place to Lexington and Sutherland received honorable mention. The judge was Max-area photographer Bill Coe.

Held in the beautiful Fossa park, Killarney, Co. Kerry, Ireland on Sunday 13th July 2014 and organised by the killarney Cycling club a large number of cyclists turned out to compete to be Champion in all levels from U10 to over 50's.

Game 10 - Germany/The Netherlands - The U.S. Armed Forces Sports hosted the 18th Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) World Military Women's Volleyball Championship in the Naval Station (NAVSTA) of Mayport, Florida.
Teams from the United States, Canada, China, Germany and The Netherlands competed from June 4 to 9, while promoting peace activities and solidarity among athletes.
Soldiers compete in the urban land navigation portion of IMCOM's Best Warrior Competition the morning of May 25. Competitors had to successfully locate four points and a checkpoint throughout Ft. Sam Houston using a DAGR, or Defense Advanced GPS Receiver, within three hours.

Soldiers competed for the title of Region 5 Best Warrior May 7-12 at Camp Crowder, Missouri. Soldiers from Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas are competing to determine who will represent Region V at the 2023 National Best Warrior Competition. Participants will test their physical, mental, and psychological limits over a 5-day period. Each day warriors will face vigorous tests including the Army Combat Fitness Test, 12-mile ruck march, obstacle course, and stress shoot, among other events.
