Picea abies 'sherwood compact'
This is our little Christmas tree, planted right beside the Winter Solstice building. I wanted something that wouldn't get too big and is fairly compact. So far, so good. This is located on the outside of the path so it is supposed to be a native American plant. Since it is a cultivar of the Norway spruce, it is one of the exceptions., Locating it took us outside the established design.
In the background you can see the wild planting of black raspberries that I did for their winter color interest. The stems are purple/lavender, which is very striking when they have no leaves. It was also striking what a jumbled mess this turned into! It made a dense thicket that never seemed healthy and most of the season just looked bad. So they are all gone now and the little woods of aspen trees, that still looks nice in winter, remains.

The Axis has three main pivoting points that can spin 360 degrees and are controlled independently by red tension levers. Release all three levers to completely reposition the mount or release just one to make single segment adjustments. These three independent rotating pivot points give you unlimited positioning options.
Attach your EVF with a ¼ 20 screw via the included quick release mount. This quick release EVF mount can slide on and off any of the four sides of the Axis EVF mount rail. No matter the position of the Axis Mount, the four-way Z-Rail keeps your EVF the right way up and in the perfect spot for you. It allows for cradling, under-slinging or standing of your EVF on the rail. The possibilities are endless and the adjustments are super-fast. The Axis can be installed or packed away in seconds.

Some of the homes in our cleanup groups have gravel driveways. When a home’s driveway is gravel we clean up the driveway just like we clean up the lawn. After we remove the contaminated soil from the driveway, our crews place new gravel. Once the gravel is in place, they use a machine to compact it.
