One of the best parts about not driving a car to work is the people-watching on the bus. I liked the perspective of everyone all lined up here.
Lemurs can't swim. So, they have their own island at the zoo. A group of us watched as one of the keepers boarded a paddle boat and commuted to and from Lemur Island, in order to feed his hungry friends.
This week's assignment on DPS is commute..... not sure which one of these i want to enter....

I'm starting a new series today inspired by a guest speaker (Jeff Tidwell) I heard last week at one of the local photography clubs. He is a prolific, black-and-white street photographer. As he spoke, there was an obvious fearlessness in his words and images of the urban environment. He has a heart for people of all walks, but most especially those who have found themselves calling "the street" their home. His willingness to embrace these people and their world showed in his images, for they were not "standoffish", intimate, and thoughtful. I found his enthusiasm for the city streets infectious, if not intimidating. For years, I have made a point of trying not to capture individuals in my shots. So, now I'm working to push through the fears of learning to see a world I have been reluctant to believe had something to capture. We will see how it goes.
It must be an age thing. I'm driving home from a dull day at the office, slower, dawdling, and admiring the beauty of the countryside, noticing the beauty of the blue bells this year. ....before they and I are gone!
Had been location-scouting for a short film. It was in the middle of the day and the subway was empty, I stumbled upon this lady, all alone. Thought she had a special vibe and had to take this shot. Tried to going for a bit more analog look - while waiting for my Wirgin Edixa and Agfa Silette to get repaired.
