IBEW 569 and our Union contractors helped renovate homes and upgrade electrical systems for 12 families-in-need, including seniors and wounded veterans.

Over 125 IBEW 569 members used their skills and dedicated their Saturday to be of service and strengthen homes and communities throughout San Diego County.

We are grateful for the outpouring of support from our members and the contributions of materials and resources from our signatory contractors.

NECA Contractors that provided trucks and materials: Dynalectric, Morrow Meadows Corporation, HMT Electric, Pro-Cal Lighting, Baker Electric, Baker Electric Home Energy, National Electric Works, and National Security Works.

I was surprised to see this owl out in somewhat plain view during a bright afternoon in the trees around the western end of the lake at Apex Community Park. I had to make my way into some taller grass to find a small opening in the trees through which to photograph the owl; as a result, I spent the next several minutes picking about twenty tiny deer ticks off of my socks and shoes.
