Communication is a seemingly essential part of life, but what if words were not enough? Motion becomes the forefront means of human connection once words are erased. Imagine a silenced life, one with no sounds, or even a day in seclusion without human contact or embrace. Our senses keep us connected, but once removed offer our bodies the opportunity to rise above what is lost and find the means to repair what is broken. Without a voice, our means of communication become almost entirely visual. The art of dance has always been a version of storytelling, putting all the pieces together without a clear idea of the story’s path. Take our movement as our words, imagine the story, and we’ll bring it to life. Find comfort in silence and the x-amount of words.
