Tanaya Ortiz, a senior in our Communication Technology program, recently coordinated fun photo shoots for some of the 2024-25 winter sports teams. Her skills were on full display, as she applied knowledge of lighting, color, design, and photography. The fantastic results demonstrate how well Mr. Pavlovich is preparing his Communication Technology students. Way to go, Tanaya!

Random needles and improvised pipes were scattered around the place. A well-loved mattress lay on the floor with backpacks and scattered letters beside it. I couldn't tell if they were stolen, or if a student had left them here. Among the letters were some religious leaflets and a card for a nearby church.

In March I visited Ólafur Eliasson's great exhibition Baroque Baroque in Vienna. The modern installations stood in an interesting contrast and harmony to the baroque interior.

The original iPod was released in October 2001 from Apple. When the iPod was introduced, it was met with mixed reactions. Some loved it, while others thought it was too expensive and that it ought to include wireless features.

The second-generation iPod, which added Windows support, was introduced in summer 2002, followed by the third-generation iPod in April 2003.

The iPod mini--the first offshoot from the original iPod line--debuted in January 2004. Since then, new models have been released roughly every six months on a fairly consistent schedule.

Apple iPod users re-inscribe their experiences of commuting through the use of music. They do so by managing their mood and orientation to space through the micro-management of personalized music.
