The sign on this building reads "OTE", the Greek telecommunications organization, but it is closed and abandoned. In the past, few or no houses in these areas had a telephone, so when residents wanted to contact other areas, they would go to the agency's office and call from there. In fact, most of the time, they had to wait for the employee who was from the other part of the line to call their friend or relative, since they did not have a home appliance either. Or if they had little to say, they would send a telegram. Later, however, the few remaining inhabitants gained their own telephones, and the telegraph went down in history as a method of communication. And so, apart from a cat, a small table and some chairs of a nearby cafe, only the sign remained, to remind that once here was the beating heart of communication with the outside world.

This was one of the Industry academia partnership summits where one of my friends is giving a speech on communication!
Basically, his short speech said that: Communication is all about conveying information through an exchange of thoughts, ideas, and feelings. Good communication needs to be a meaningful exchange between two or more parties and, for your message to be heard and understood, it needs to be clear, concise, and communicated with confidence.
Communication skills are something that we all need to constantly develop and keep in check. Whether it is communicating to our work colleagues, clients, family, pets - the list goes on and there’s always room for improvement!
I remember when I was small that a telephone box was the only means of communication whilst out. How different it is today.
After living in this street for 34 years we today noticed that some of the telegraph poles had a finial, so I took a shot of one and then it being Sunday decided to play....... HSS!
The number you have dialed is not available at the moment, please leave a message after the tone using a regional accent mixed with colloquialism and a fair bit of profanity, then press End Call and tourette till it breaks.

I must admit this hasn’t been the first time to have experienced this unique bonding, when the bird accepted my presence and wouldn’t fly away. Call it “interspecies communication" if you wish, or telepathy - I don’t know (smile).
After taking a few good shots with my 400mm f5.6, I have decided to take the chance and switch lenses, for a shallower DOF. The cute owl didn't move a bit. I must admit having experienced a feeling of acceptance and trust. I gave the owl its space by not getting too close.
Shot taken at f2.8 with Canon 5dIII coupled with canon 70-200 f/2.8 II.

I am a Big Fan of her work.
In front of the silhouette of the Traunstein stands "La Communication", a boy communicating with his doppelgänger. The large figure with a xylophone on his back represents a creative person and artist in dialogue with his analytical, structuring side, symbolized by the small figure with the Lego brick.
"Moss people" series by Kim Simonsson. (the statue and figurines of the series are in green color) The Finnish artist takes us into the fantastic world of „Moss People“ – life-size, childlike creatures made of ceramic with a velvety surface, staged in a hyper-natural environment.
Happy Summer solstice! 🌺

'Where are you,' she screams..
....and is greeted by silence.
'What happened,' she yells..
....and is greeted by silence.
'Are you okay,' she hollers..
....and is greeted by silence.
'Please talk to me,' she says loudly...
....and is greeted by silence.
'I don't understand,' she says..
....and is greeted by silence.
'I only had one expectation,' she whispers..
....and is greeted by silence.
'You've hurt me,' she mumbles..
....and is greeted by silence, while one gate softly starts to close.
'Hello,' he says..
....and is greeted by silence.
