The outbound (westbound) side of Commonwealth Avenue in March. A few buds on the trees, but the mall down the middle of the avenue still sports its "winter" grass -- yellowish and flat.

My take on the commonwealth truck for passenger equipment with vestibules. The black technic 1x2 brick with two holes will be replaced with BMR/BTD wheel sets or you could use the Lego wheels with technic pins. The 3mm Hose is 10 studs long, though those are rather expensive, so I'd get an 11 and cut it down. in a pinch, you could also use 9 stud long hoses. The coupler is the 747Z variant from BMR.

My second visit to Royal Ascot 2019 was on the Saturday, the final day of the week long event. Although not as many coaches turned up as on the Thursday (Ladies Day), there was still a healthy turn out including a good variety of coaches and 7 vintage buses!

For the duration of the Commonwealth Games, a series of my photographs were on display on the outside walls of Scotstoun Sports Campus as part of the Commonwealth Family Album project.

The Dade-Commonwealth Building, also known as the Meyer-Kiser Building, was built in 1925. Its construction came during a downtown building frenzy amidst the Florida Land Boom of the 1920s. The Commercial style building originally had seventeen stories, before a devastating hurricane in 1926 reduced the number to seven. For years some of the building's most prominent tenants were banks, including the Meyer-Kiser Bank of Indianapolis. It received its current name in 1944 when the Dade-Commonwealth Title and Abstract Co. occupied the ground floor. In 2015, the Dade-Commonwealth Building was purchased by a group of investors who plan to rebuild the additional ten stories and convert the structure into a hotel.
