Mitgardian Commerce

Providing Historica with the best

All the mountains in Mitgardia provide a lot of treasures. So mining is done a lot. Also in Ondylion, the best crystals, diamonds and other precious stones are sold here. Ondylion has the best quality, and as the Drow have a weekness for shiny things. Ofcourse they pay a visist to Ondylion.

Nothing tastes better than an Ondylion steak. So a lot of Avalonians come here to get some. And it's not just the steak, also the chicken is outstanding.

And well, people from Kaliplin like to come here to cool off. And checking out the Mitgardian girls, but they will never admit that!

The International Commerce Centre (ICC) is a prominent skyscraper located in West Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is the tallest building in Hong Kong and the 10th tallest in the world, standing at a height of 484 meters. The ICC is a mixed-use development that includes office space, a luxury hotel, and a shopping mall. It has become a major landmark in the city and is home to many multinational companies and financial institutions. The building also contains the Sky100 observation deck, offering stunning views of the city and Victoria Harbour.

This shot, recreated in 2010, looks East down Commerce Street. Most of the structures that existed in 1900 were renovated or removed to accommodate modern buildings. St. Josephs Catholic Church can be seen in the far distance on the left.

Day 146/365

Doors Open Toronto is an annual event where buildings are open to the public to explore and enjoy. I believe the concept started in Europe. This was the 14th year for Toronto.

The Canadian Bank of Commerce headquarters was completed in 1931 and designed by Darling & Pearson with York & Sawyer. The Canadian Bank of Commerce merged with the Imperial Bank of Canada in 1961 to form the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). Although they went on to build the Commerce Court complex on this site, they thankfully kept this historic structure and supplemented with other buildings.

This is a picture of the banking hall. It's said to be modelled on ancient Rome's Baths of Caracella. It's an amazing space that you can only photography during Doors Open. Although they allow people to bring in tripods, I didn't want to drag mine around all day. In hindsight, I wish I had brought it so the details in these shots could be sharper and I could have used a lower ISO. It was a bit of a challenge to choose my photo for the day, but I ultimately decided on this one.

Terminal Commerce Building / North American Building / 401 North Broad (1930)

401 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA (northeast corner of Callowhill Street).

Occupying an entire city block at Broad and Callowhill Streets, this structure was touted as being the largest commercial warehouse building in the nation when completed in 1930. The Terminal Commerce Building cost $4 million to construct and was built by William Steele & Sons, a longstanding Philadelphia construction firm. The building offered about 13 million square feet of floor space, including showrooms and offices for the numerous firms that made their headquarters there. The massive edifice even had a freight station beneath it, which replaced the Reading's North Broad Street Freight Station and rail yard that had previously been on the site. Rail service was provided by the Reading's now-abandoned "City Branch" right-of-way, which passed underneath. The Terminal Commerce Building was reputedly used to manufacture tanks during WWII. And from the 1940s to 1973, it was the main U.S. Army Induction Center in Philadelphia, striking fear in the young men who entered or even passed by it. The Reading Railroad sold the structure in 1955, whereupon it became known as the North American Building. By the 1980s, it had become a low-rent office and light-industrial center. It more recently has been repositioned as a "carrier hotel" housing telecommunications, computer and other high-tech equipment. There are dozens of fiber optic lines into the building, large Internet servers, huge back-up power generators, and a number of telecom tenants. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Most of the interior is done, but it really all needs to be cleaned up a bit.

The Sea Witch Halloween & Fiddlers' Festival Wicked Wild & Wonderful green face witch souvenir graphic tee shirt for sale at the Rehoboth Beach - Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce 501 Rehoboth Ave, Rehoboth Beach, DE Delaware 19971

Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, USA

Rehoboth Beach is a city along the Atlantic Ocean in eastern Sussex County, Delaware.

The town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware often bills itself as The Nation's Summer Capital due to the fact that it is a frequent summer vacation destination for Washington, D.C., residents (121.78 miles / 2 hrs 46 mins from The White House)

Vacationers are drawn for many reasons, including the town's charm, tax free shopping and famous for its beaches, wooden boardwalk, eclectic shops, amusements, and sporting activities

Rehoboth Beach is one of the principal cities of Delaware's rapidly growing Cape Region.

In 2011, the NRDC Natural Resources Defense Council awarded Rehoboth Beach with a 5-Star rating in water quality.

Out of the 30 states with coastline, the Delaware Beaches ranked number one in water quality in 2011.

Rehoboth Beach is also known as one of the mid-Atlantic coast's popular LGBT Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender - gay-friendly getaways because of the large number of gay-owned and operated businesses and because of the gay-frequented stretch of beach near Queen Street, known as Poodle Beach.

Dogfish Head Brewery's original brewpub is located on the town's main strip Rehoboth Avenue.

Rehoboth (Hebrew: רְחוֹבוֹת‎) means "broad spaces." It appears three times in the Old Testament as a place name: a well dug by Isaac (at modern Wadi er-Ruheibeh) (Gen. 26:22), a city on the Euphrates River (Gen. 36:37; 1 Chr. 1:48), and one of the cities of Asshur (Gen. 10:11). Hence the name may have had a special appeal for the religious founders of the city, although the adjacent bay had already borne the name Rehoboth for at least a century before the town was founded.

In September CAMP Rehoboth Community Center / Letters from CAMP magazine hosts an annual Labor Day weekend event called SUNDANCE with an fundraiser auction and dance party at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.

CAMP Rehoboth is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, gay and lesbian community service organization, originally developed to “Create A More Positive” relationship among all the people of the Rehoboth Beach area.

Each October Rehoboth Beach hosts the Annual Sea Witch Halloween & Fiddlers Festival ( Happy Halloween - The Blessed Samhain Festival - Autumn Holidays Celebration) with a parade, Trick or Treat, and the very popular broom tossing event right at the beach.

There is a summer bus service that makes it easy for beach goes to travel easily between Rehoboth Beach Delaware and Ocean City Maryland.

There is a ferry from Cape May New Jersey that makes it easy to travel to Rehoboth Beach Delaware,
