All the mountains in Mitgardia provide a lot of treasures. So mining is done a lot. Also in Ondylion, the best crystals, diamonds and other precious stones are sold here. Ondylion has the best quality, and as the Drow have a weekness for shiny things. Ofcourse they pay a visist to Ondylion.
Nothing tastes better than an Ondylion steak. So a lot of Avalonians come here to get some. And it's not just the steak, also the chicken is outstanding.
And well, people from Kaliplin like to come here to cool off. And checking out the Mitgardian girls, but they will never admit that!

Imagine my shock when I drove by and saw that the mural had just been repainted. It sure pops out! On top it there is a reference to historic Harmony Grove. For a close-up of the mural click here.
The town of Harmony Grove was established in 1810, at the crossroads from the mountain counties to the markets of Athens, Washington and Augusta. Farmers would come to and camp at Harmony Grove to trade their stock and produce for manufactured goods such as plows, shoes and clothing.
The Northeastern railroad line was built through Harmony Grove in 1876 and connected the Georgia Railroad (Athens) with the Air Line Railroad (Gainesville). With the arrival of the railroad in 1876, Harmony Grove became a commercial hub and flourishing cotton market, receiving and shipping cotton from the surrounding counties. In 1904, the town changed its name to Commerce which was only appropriate then for the commercial center. Iincidentally, Commerce today is home to one of the largest outlet centers in Georgia.

The east side of Princes St viewed from Portman Road. The building on the left was constructed as Shell Mex House and the offices on the right were built in the 1960's for Fisons fertilisers as Harvest House. The house in the background is in new Cardinal St. See Steeds-0229 for an historical view of this site and an unusual removal.This Collection was donated by Dr Steeds.
n 1939 Dr Roger Steeds, general practitioner joined the three Staddon brothers who were in practice at 6 Silent Street. Just before the war, the building was threatened with demolition because of road widening. The practice moved to 18 Silent Street. It was said to be a purpose built building with three consulting rooms, dispensary, reception area and waiting room and caretaker’s flat. However, the building was wrecked by a bomb during the war but re-erected in 1946. After the war as each of the Staddon brothers retired, they were replaced in turn by Dr Roy Webb, Dr Sheila Hines and Dr Bunt Drabble. Dr Steeds retired In 1966.

“Views of our flight over Ipswich in the Mazda airship in 1995 by Marian and Barry Jordan who are both members of The Ipswich Society.”
Back in mid May 1995 Marian and Barry Jordan had a very pleasant surprise. They had been customers of the local Mazda car dealer for some time and were regarded by them as being worthy customers.
As a reward for their custom they were selected to board the Mazda airship when it came to Ipswich on a leg of its trip round the country advertising the brand. With them came a competition winner from the area plus the pilot of the aircraft as they headed smoothly off to the north-west towards town.
The journey which took forty-five minutes, found them soaring gently to about five hundred feet over Nacton Road; cruise towards the town passing over Marion’s mother’s house in Clapgate Lane. Barry and Marian were able to continue filming and snapping away at the views before turning to fly over the town centre and the Cornhill. Although it’s not possible to see photographs of the whole trip, they flew over the north of the town towards Whitton over Whitehouse then turning towards the river following it down towards the wet dock. They flew over what was to become the Waterfront where it was possible to see the beginnings of the development there. Further down the river, Ostrich Creek was visible before sight of the glorious new Orwell Bridge came into sight. Finally, turning left they flew unhurriedly back to Ipswich airport.
On their descent they were greeted by a gang of lads - the thirteen -strong support team employed to grab the guy ropes and bring the “blimp” to a halt. Marian and Barry celebrated their trip on the May afternoon with a glass of bubbly along with the other passenger as the pilot prepared to head off on his tour round the country.
The Jordans tell us it was a smooth, exciting and pleasant journey with no hairy moments, in a space about the size of the interior of a large car, it was very noisy so they had to wear headphones but the view was splendid.
And they are still customers of Mazda Cars!

According to research, 1995 was a good year for the Mazda Blimp. The ABC Lightship A60 N2022B “Mazda” was chartered for nine months, in which time it is toured 125 dealers being used to entertain clients and impress locals. It was recorded in June in Southend and filmed over Worcester in September. Mazda's marketing manager at the time said: 'When it's in an area it's a superb means of outgunning our rivals.'
There were some drawbacks, however, most notably the weather. At one point, one airship was grounded for three weeks because of low cloud and there was also the matter of its stately pace. 'When you move on to the next location it can take a long time to get there. 'You might spend two or three days flying over cows and sheep.' reported a spokesman at the time.
Another creative project with Planika's Rondo Commerce. This time our fireplace has been used as an integral part of a coffee table designed by Igor Liturinsky.

a view looking north up Civic Drive at the fine curves of the former Guardian Royal Exchange buildings erected in the 1970s. Now the Axa company is based here. These slides were acquired in november 2015 from a variety of sources.
This shot, recreated in 2010, looks East down Commerce Street. Most of the structures that existed in 1900 were renovated or removed to accommodate modern buildings. St. Josephs Catholic Church can be seen in the far distance on the left.
