Commenting Off

I was pretty much blown away to learn that Tricia got some fantastic deal from some website out of NYC (Tricia, please tell us in your comment what website that was!) to buy this camera and lens that could be called a 'monster cam'. Something like buying a personal truck. Some people buy little ones. And some people buy BIG ones. Or like an Elephant gun. Some people shoot little things, other people need an Elephant gun because they will be hunting Elephants. This is a mega powerful camera and lens set up and I'm secretly lusting after her equipment. I know, I know, we are not supposed to do that, but hey, I'm only human!

After our balloon flight flickr meet we all went to Tricia's house, we checked out her pet chickens and we heard Moira comment that Tricia should know the exact time to the second that it take her coffee to brew because doesn't everyone know that?

So then when the day was done and we were about to leave Tricia says, "Wait! I didn't show you my new camera!" So she goes and pulls out this monster cam and my jaw dropped to the floor, and I still can't believe it! I'm very happy for her to have this mega powerful latest greatest high end Nikon pro DSLR and lens.

Tricia, we really should get together for some more flickr meet photo shoots so we can help each other out on how to use all this expensive camera gear we have. My D300 is VERY similar to your D700 it seems almost impossible to master every possible function and feature these cams are capable of. So if we work together a little bit perhaps we can share some photo taking tips and techniques to get the most out of our equipment.

I'm very often in Temecula on weekend mornings, Sat and Sun at Sunrise so maybe you could come over there. And besides, Temecula is such a scenic area especially in wine country where we do the flights, and especially at that sunrise time of day. I could show you how to get some unbelievable shots I think with your cam and Lens on the launch field at sunrise perhaps.

But never forget that it is the person and the technique they use that gets great shots, NOT the camera.

This is commonly acknowledged to have been a free interpretation by Michelangelo of the Apollo Belvedere. The faint vertical line of reighting to the left of the nude sketch's head reads: "I once was nude, but now am badly clothed." Might it be Michelangelo's own comment on some aspect of his draughtsmanship in this case?

We've met before; I recognise your slender oval face. Good to see you in colour (of sorts). I'll forgive you for the shade since it seems to work in this case. Leaning forward brings your face to prominence, which can be a risky thing to do but again, it works here. The decorative top you are wearing tells me something about your tastes but is not distracting. Whilst in that area (the top) I will remark on something most will avoid but I cannot fail to notice. The bust, buttercup rather than barrage balloon, a matter of taste but less is more attractive to me. I like this shot.

Will you marry me? Consider from a moment, as a man of 70, I have an advantage over a younger man, I can offer you the devotion of a lifetime! You would be taking the risk I might live to be a 100 however!

Inappropriate!!! People DID die, for your information, Ms. Comment Spammer. Read: Minneapolis Bridge Collapse & Citizen Journalism

Saw this poster pasted on the wall at the Kyogle Polling Booth.

Thought somedody had placed it there as a joke, also it had no bearing on this electorate in NSW! A few people had not even noticed it, but were highly amused when I pointed out where it was placed!

At The Edge Of The Cliff, is a place where coconut trees and some beautiful trees I don’t know the name stand in front of the ocean. Fallen leaves remain the autumn season but it’s not. I just enjoyed this spot, and i twas a great time with no buddy around.

We leaved this place then to get back in the car and head towards a very nice place called ‘le jardin des fleurs et des épices’ (the garden of flowers and spices).
