McAlester Army Ammunition Plant held a change of command ceremony on June 21, 2017. COL Sean M. Herron relinquished command to COL Joseph D. Blanding, who arrived in southeastern Oklahoma from the Joint Munitions Command, where he was the Chief of Staff. He is the 35th commander of the ammunition production facility that was commissioned as Naval Ammunition Depot, McAlester, on May 20, 1943, and the 18th commander since it was turned over to the U.S. Army. Following the state command sergeant major change of responsibility ceremony Aug. 10, 2019, at the Joint Force Headquarters in Lincoln, Command Sgt. Maj. Marty Baker officially celebrated his retirement from the Nebraska National Guard after more than 39 years of military service. Representatives from his employer, Nebraska Farm Bureau, presented Baker with a Quilts of Valor quilt for his service. Baker, with assistance from the Nebraska ESGR, presented the Seven Seals Award to the company for their support to Baker during his time in uniform, as well as the many other service members they employ. Baker received many retirement awards and gifts from various organizations, including an "Enlisted Guardians: Our Legacy, Our Future," framed print from the Nebraska National Guard Enlisted Association; a "Cornrows to Hedgerows," framed print from the 67th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade; an engraved sword from all the sergeants major of state; and the Keeper of the Colors Award from the Army National Guard Command Sergeants Major Advisory Council, presented by State Command Sergeants Major from Iowa and Missouri. Speaking at the ceremony was Governor Pete Ricketts, who presented Baker with his own challenge coin. Maj. Gen. The new home of Installation Management command is under construction at Fort Sam Houston. It will be located in a former regimental complex with the old barracks being converted in to offices. The headquarters staff will be in a new building being built on the old parade field. Much of the character of the old buildings remain, including the original exterior facades and verandas.

United Nations Command Security Battalion-Joint Security Area conducts a

relinquishes his duties to Command Sgt. Major James M. Moore on Mar. 26 at
the JSA's Flag Plaza. More than 100 attended the ceremony to bid farewell to
Hidalgo and to thank him for his leadership during his assignment as the
battalion's senior enlisted advisor.
The Soldiers and Civilians assigned to USAG-Pōhakuloa, Hawaii and friends from the community said good-bye to Command Sgt. Maj. Lynice D. Thorpe during her Relinquishment of Responsibility ceremony on May 17.
Thorpe, a 21-year Army veteran, has been USAG-Pōhakuloa's senior noncommissioned officer for the last three years. She was the senior advisor to the garrison commander, led the garrison's community relations efforts with Big Island Schools and helped the garrison to run more efficiently.
USAG-Pōhakuloa commander Lt. Col. Chris Niles praised Thorpe for her wise counsel, support and invaluable assistance to him during his command.
Niles presented Thorpe with the Meritorious Service Medal for her contributions to the garrison.
The event featured traditional Hawaiian blessings and a hula. A luau followed the ceremony.
Thorpe leaves USAG-Pōhakuloa for a new assignment at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Gen. Daniel B. Allyn, commanding general, U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) hosted an Assumption of Responsibility Ceremony today for Command Sgt. Maj. Scott C. Schroeder, 53, who assumed duties as the FORSCOM command sergeant major. Schroeder returns to Fort Bragg, where he had served previously with the 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, deploying to Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Warrior Country leaders host the Area I Command Information Exchange at Camp Casey's Warriors Club July 28. These quarterly meetings have replaced the traditional town hall that tended to brief what services are provided by the garrison while the CIE format is designed to address high-impact issues like the eventual closing of Casey Elementary School, availability of school bus monitors and changes to command sponsorship. The next Command Information Exchange is scheduled for Oct. 29 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Warriors Club.

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (July 31, 2015) - Sgt. Maj. Diedre K. Nevels was appointed to the rank of Command Sergeant Major in a ceremony held here today at the U.S. Army Forces Command Marshall Hall headquarters. Lt. Gen. Patrick J. Donahue II, FORSCOM deputy commanding general, and Command Sgt. Maj. Scott C. Schroeder, FORSCOM command sergeant major, hosted the ceremony. Command Sgt. Maj. Nevels has been an operations sergeant major here at FORSCOM. With this appointment, she will assume responsibility as the Command Sergeant Major, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, XVIII Airborne Corps at a ceremony to be held on Fort Bragg, August 11, 2015.
