U.S. Army Recruiting Command welcomed a new command team during a change of command and change of responsibility ceremony here July 23. Maj. Gen. Kevin Vereen became the 27th USAREC commanding general, and Command Sgt. Maj. John W. Foley accepted responsibility as the new senior enlisted leader of the command. The two follow Maj. Gen. On 18 July 2017, LISA Pathfinder was shut down after being placed in a safe disposal orbit. The final command was sent from ESOC, ESA's European Space Operations Centre, at 19:57 CEST that evening. That day, scientists, mission controllers and the mission's management team gathered at ESOC, Darmstadt, Germany, for a presentation on the successes of the mission prior to the shut-down.
In December 2019, company leadership in Charlie 1-32 Infantry changed out, in a change of command ceremony, a long-held Army tradition.

The Mac Computer Expo was held in Petaluma, CA on October 6, 2012. Leo Laporte, the host of TWiT.tv and a Petaluma local, gave a tour to the vendors and speakers of the Expo. I was there for my second time as a speaker, this time on Reputation Management. We first had dinner at Cucina Paradiso then walked to the TWiT studios. At a change-of-command ceremony inside the Carey Physical Fitness Center on Camp Casey in Dongducheon July 27, Lt. Col. Jon Gardner assumes command of U.S. Army Garrison Casey, replacing Lt. Col. Edward D. Eldridge, who commanded the garrison for the past two years and moves to a new assignment. Gardner’s previous assignment was with Special Operations Command-Europe, where he served as the Military Information Support Operations (MISO) Division chief. In a separate award ceremony shortly before the change-of-command, Eldridge received the Combined Forces Command Deputy Commander’s Medal, presented by Lt. Col. Reserve Soldiers from the greater Chicago area drive M1165A1 High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV) on an off-road driving course to gain practice on the HMMWV in various rough terrain conditions at the Joliet Training Area, Ill., May 14. U.S. Army Reserve military police Soldiers from the 200th MP Command work alongside active duty Soldiers from the 289th MP Co., belonging to the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), to provide law and order, security and patrol support at various active duty installations in the Military District of Washington, D.C., Feb. 17. This partnership pilot porgram began in early February, placing Army Reserve Soldiers on active duty orders for three weeks while working at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Fort Lesley J.
