The 1st Battalion, 111th Field Artillery Regiment conducts a Change of Command Ceremony between the outgoing commander, Lt. Col. Todd Hubbard, and the incoming commander, Maj. Preston Scott, Sunday, Sept. 20th at the Fort Pickett Stadium in Blackstone, Va.
Hubbard commanded the battalion for two years during which members of the battalion provided support during the 9-11 Memorial Dedication Ceremony and the 2009 Presidential Inauguration Parade as well as a partial battalion deployment to Iraq in support of the 2nd Squadron, 183rd Cavalry Regiment. McAlester Army Ammunition Plant held a change of command ceremony on June 21, 2017. COL Sean M. Herron relinquished command to COL Joseph D. Blanding, who arrived in southeastern Oklahoma from the Joint Munitions Command, where he was the Chief of Staff. He is the 35th commander of the ammunition production facility that was commissioned as Naval Ammunition Depot, McAlester, on May 20, 1943, and the 18th commander since it was turned over to the U.S. Army. ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. (July 7, 2015) -- Col. Frederick J. Hughes host a farewell ceremony for Command Sgt. Maj. Kenneth Agueda at U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command headquarters. During the ceremony Command Sgt. Maj. Agueda received the Army Meritorious Service Medal and an Army Commendation Medal.
JOINT BASE CAP CODE, Ma. â The Command of the oldest state run military training academy changed hands here, October 15, 2016. Col. John J. Driscoll received command today from outgoing commander Col. Robert A. Dwan.
During the ceremony, the colors are passed from the outgoing commander to the incoming, symbolizing the passing of command and that the unit is never left without leadership.
Driscoll will be responsible for leading the RTI as it continues its rich history of providing a variety of leadership and military occupational skill training to Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard Soldiers.

At a change-of-command ceremony inside the Carey Physical Fitness Center on Camp Casey in Dongducheon July 27, Lt. Col. Jon Gardner assumes command of U.S. Army Garrison Casey, replacing Lt. Col. Edward D. Eldridge, who commanded the garrison for the past two years and moves to a new assignment. Gardner’s previous assignment was with Special Operations Command-Europe, where he served as the Military Information Support Operations (MISO) Division chief. In a separate award ceremony shortly before the change-of-command, Eldridge received the Combined Forces Command Deputy Commander’s Medal, presented by Lt. Col. The 79th Sustainment Support Command dedicated their headquarters building in memory of Sergeant Paul T. Nakamura on Saturday, June 21, 2014.
Sgt. Nakamura, an Army Reserve Soldier who was assigned to the 437th Medical Company (Ground Ambulance), March Air Reserve Base, Riverside California, was killed in action on June 19, 2003 in Al-Iskandariyah, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. A Southern California native, Nakamura was a model Warrior-Citizen, recognized as a leader in his community.We are proud to have spent the day with his family and friends in honor to Sgt. Nakamura. OSHIMA ISLAND, Japan (Apr. 1, 2011) - Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force arrive in Oshima Island, Japan to provide humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
