This is a quarry on the south coast of NSW, where the wave crash against the rocks, all day, everyday.
I missed the focus on this one, but wonder if it really matters. The colours steal the attention enough I hope. The little crimson was in just the right spot for the background of autumn leaves lit up by the late sun.
Posted for the the Smile on Saturday theme "Flag Unflagged".
It was nice to have some fun with colours on an otherwise boring winter day. :) HSoS !
One of my Autumn shots which i have only just got round to processing and uploading, the colours and light really does enhance the image, and the path leading you in and out of the picture, one of my favourite images of 2013,
Wild colours all around
Rising up from the ground
Yellows, white and much green
All around, now are seen
By the eyes, as birds they sing
Of the beautiful colours, found in Spring
or perhaps the colours are more autumnal ...
I know this is an abutilon, but I'm not sure which species it is.
Crystal clear water and bizarre rock formations covered in moss and beautiful colours can be found at the Traun Falls near Roitham (Upper Austria). This place, unknown to many, is trully a fascinating place like from another world

Formazioni rocciose all'interno del Siq che conduce al sito archeologico di Petra. I diversi minerali contenuti nelle rocce ... ferro, cobalto ecc., conferiscono a queste pareti colorazioni impensabili.
Autumn leaves fall as light as feathers
Drifting down to the ground
Creating a carpet of golds, yellows, rich reds
and browns
It is a time when most of nature
rests making use of the clothing
of trees.

Colours fade, temples crumble, empires fall, but wise words endure.
