Colours of autumn, white from the moss, dark red from heather, green from lingon (yes they are there if you look close and carfully) :)

I'm stitching the rosettes into bands of colour which I hope to attach to one another. This is what I've sewn up so far. Of course what will scupper this plan is running out of fabric in different colours. If I'd gone random at least I'd be able to make a quilt - all be it a very small one!
This seasons colours are amazing, due to the wet summer, we are told. The reds golds and yellows on the trees here are stunning.

The experience inspired a series of watercolours, now showing as part of the Under Water Colours exhibition in London (details below). Limited edition prints of the watercolours are now available to buy in aid of our work in Bangladesh and Nepal.
Kathmandu - Nepal (1999) where I spent a week after my trip to Tibet. It happened to be a special Hindu festival going on and I was following all the activities day to day. Clothes were dyed, new clothes were bought, flower garlands everywhere, and animals were slaughtered for offering on one of the days. This was in Oct 1999.
