Loitering around in the dark forest with no head torch or lights, but keen to capture the mesmerising display in the sky as the sun sets over the forest. Light wind, not a single sound except the occasional wildlife call from the trees and a strong sense of space and outdoors. Not bad for a school night.

Well, I really dont know why I shot this. Maybe I am getting obsessed with bokehs or maybe its because I couldnt shoot the celebrations of the holi festival today and wanted to shoot colours. Was too lazy to create a shoot or a strobist set-up..:P. Hence took my camera and my prime and shot this quickly. Hope you guys like it. And by the way, to all my fellow flickr pals from India - Happy HOLI!!!
For others who do not know much abt the festival of Holi:
It is an important festival celebrated in India and is also known as Festival of Colours. It is celebrated by all and is a joyous festival. According to hindu mythology, this festival symbolises victory of GOOD over EVIL. Important things one would notice during this festival is ofcourse celebration with lots of colours ( colour powder is applied to each other and ppl play with colour water), lots of sweets..:P, bhangh which is an hindi word for a drink which is sort of alcoholic but without alcochol..:P, its base is herbs. Thats it,festival of HOLI is an integral part of Incredible India. Happy Holi!!
First spring colours touching the valley of the Yongding River. This is at the end (or beginning) of the Nanshiyang Canyon, a spectacular narrow gorge in a remote corner of rural Beijing, with a small road going through it. Pictures from there? - Another time.
A fantasy character. Photographing smoke trails gives some weird and wonderful shapes and patterns. When this is combined with photoshop, it is surprising what can be achieved. An abstract smoke trail image. Original photograph manipulated and coloured in photoshop.

Stourhead is an estate at the source of the River Stour near Mere, Wiltshire, England. The estate includes a Palladian mansion, the village of Stourton, gardens, farmland, and woodland. Stourhead has been in the ownership of the National Trust since 1946.
When Stourhead first opened in the 1740s, a magazine described it as ‘a living work of art’. The world-famous landscape garden has at its centrepiece a magnificent lake reflecting classical temples, mystical grottoes, and rare and exotic trees, and offers a day of fresh air and discovery.
