This morning I went for a good cycle and it was here that I stopped for a "little" rest ~ it was lovely looking out across the water with that beautiful blue sky and white clouds!

After a solid week of intense studies, I jumped on my bike and rode down to Mälaren to witness a beautiful sunset.
Am Eingang zur Grabeskirche in Jerusalem.
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
After three days of illness (scarlet fever) I was happy again to get out of my flat. A good friend of mine invited me for a small walk in a forest in the near of Paderborn. I decided to take my camera and some strobe stuff with me because my new car has got enough space to carry everything with me. The weather was perfect, warm and sunny. Thank you Monika for this wonderful golden autumn afternoon.

Chrysanthemum: the big blooms often duo toned, collectively known as kotengiku or antique chrysanthemums.
Still a touch of the vibrant red and green of Summer and already the paler golds of Autumn...
Autumn is a season tinged with the beauty of colours and yet also with some nostalgia...
Another Summer gone, the 'dark' months upon us, with the season of light getting closer!
Have a blooming day and thank you for your comments, M, (*_*)

Another canal with boats in Chioggia, Italy. Taken during my vacation in September :)
Chioggia is a coastal town and comune of the province of Venice in the Veneto region of northern Italy. The most ancient documents naming Chioggia dates from the 6th century AD, when it was part of the Byzantine Empire. Chioggia is a miniature version of Venice, with a few canals, chief among them the Canale Vena, and the characteristic narrow streets known as calli. Chioggia has several medieval churches, much reworked in the period of its greatest prosperity in the 16th and 17th centuries.

ok Paul www.flickr.com/photos/phowardphoto/; the camera slipped out of my hand. I thought, Paul Howard would do this on purpose, post the photo, and I would like it.
