Nature is the best teacher when it comes to accepting change. The past offers a better present and an even better future, should you ever miss it. We should not tame or harness it to an extent that eviscerates its magnanimity.Â

"Instead of trying to reproduce exactly what I see before me, I make more arbitary use of colour to express myself more forcefully ... To express the love of two lovers by the marriage of two complementary colours ... To express the thought of a brow by the radiance of a light tone against a dark background. To express hope by some star. Someone's passion by the radiance of the setting sun."
Vincent van Gogh, 1888.

This image was taken in Pous Mela of Santiniketan, where various kinds of artists come to showcase and sell their product. And there she was, continuously drawing her artworks with rapt concentration. She was a Patachitra artist.
Patachitra 's traditional folk art that is practiced in the Indian state of Orissa .
This folk came in the eighth century. The origin and development of patachitra are closely linked to the cult of the god Vishnu , especially in the guise of Jagannath Dev . The performances of the paintings are religious, mythological and folklore (such as Jagannath, Lord Krishna and stories from the Ramayana and Mahabaratha ). Originally, the paintings made by Mahapatra and Maharana, a caste of painters (chitrakars'): their work had a ritual character. Today, the painters in and around Puri ( Raghurajpur and Dandshahi ) more commercial. Besides traditional paintings on fabric processed ('Patta'), they are also paintings on wooden boxes, bowls, the outer husks of coconuts and such doors.

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
