bent's garden centre in warrington is a great place to go if you have young kids, the displays of christmas lights that they have are really good, my two little boys were mesmerised by all the colours on show.
Coloured lights are my favourite things
They shine with brightness true
They light the nights
and flash their colours
the way that bright lights do.
Last minute long exposure of the Miami Fever ride at Meltham funfair in Huddersfield. The funfair has visited this same site every year for the last sixty years - except 2020 (damn COVID-19).
It occurred to me that I haven't posted a picture of Croydon in a long time, so here is one from this morning of my favourite building (again).
As I am a huge fan of coloured lights at night I couldn't resist to take a close-up shot of the crystal ball.
Thank you for your faves and support recently. :)

now it really is the end...birthday to birthday...done!
it's been a quiet birthday spent mooching around blackpool with Rae-mundo (space cadet level iv) because it's thursday and thus a 'school night' the party is happening on saturday when i shall have assorted wierdos, lezzers and poofs imbibing of the grape and grain, eating of the chilli and generally making merry.
i've taken 367 pictures for this project and although some are shockingly bad i am proud of them all...what i love is that i have a basic knowledge (infant level) that i can now expand upon in a 52.
the numbering anomaly has been uncovered by the delectable Mrs.Cattus and will corrected in good time...what has come to light is that there's 2 days pictures not posted...i'm absolutely sure they're on my hard-drive but some searching will be required to unearth them and post them...................oh well i did say it was '-ish' *shrugs*
Official name is Weston Mill Viaduct. It crossed Camel's Head Creek. The creek is mostly filled in now. In the background is the colourful lights of the incinerator.
A cute black cat stares in wonder at the various decorations hanging from the branches of a Christmas Tree.
Female Fiery Skimmer is backed by multi-coloured points of light. I can only assume that drops of dew, lined up on the edges of foliage, are being hit by the sun's rays from slightly different angles, diffracting an array of colours from the spectrum.
Last weekend I went out again and took my crystal ball and the Danbo with me to try them out in Frankfurt.
Well, it is really not easy to combine the Danbo with architecture. It would have been nicer to have him somehow closer. But I like the bokeh lights of the Frankfurt skyline ... sooooo many colours.
A fun, post-processing edit on this image from Columbus Circle in New York, January 2009.
I remember we had a very welcome hot drink here at 'The Shops' after walking in the cold for hours. And while resting, we enjoyed watching the dynamic and eye-catching changing colours on this light installation.
The Shops is housed within the Time Warner Center (now the Deutsche Bank Center) which is a soaring 2.8 million-square-foot landmark with stunning views of Central Park. It opened in 2003.
Outside in the background, is Edward Durell Stone's 1964 building for A & P heir Huntington Hartford. The facade seen is a modern addition and a controversial one.
