The river Thames flows through the centre of London on its way to the sea. The lights from the big city cast all kinds of coloured reflections on the water.
I was on a team building day today, which usually prompts a sort of dread. It was enjoyable, and I learnt some things about myself and the team I work with. It also afforded me the opportunity to photograph a part of Birmingham I can't get to at lunchtime. These are some of the coloured lights that hang underneath the road by The Mailbox.
Members of public were fascinated and delighted with Floating Pictures' "Light Graffiti" interactive light projections at the Kings Cross section of the Lumiere London light festival.

Walking home from work I took this pic. Some one from the neighbourhood started talking to me about the house ... they call it the "Hobbit House." It has a weird "Fairy Tale" like roof ... very werid/cool!

165/365. This camera re-emerged from my shit-abyss as I was digging through some old gear this weekend. I instantly started thinking about how a neat "painted light" shot could be framed around it. Had a spare 30 mins to make it happen this afternoon.
First light painting session in a very long time thanks to the fact I have moved to a city. Was great to get out in the mountains and stumbled across this.
The Jurassic Park area at Paradise Wildlife Park. The occupants are now bathed in coloured light during the evening. Kids and adults love the spectacle.

Special illuminations, provided by EDF Energy - in shades of pink! - as crowds line the banks of the Thames to see the Olympic rings being lowered into place.
(The bridge is actually opening, to allow the passage of a high-masted Thames Barge)
Experience Lacock Abbey in a totally new light. Areas of the beautiful Medieval Cloisters and Tudor courtyard will be bath in light with their architectural features highlighted.
Footsteps of nuns will disapear up the night stairs, a fire will flicker in the warming room, ghostly liquid will trickle down the brewery equipment and more.
